It is much easier said, then done and while it sounds simple, it probably is not so easilyaccomplished in reality. Everything in Mercenaries I have tried to rely on the current tools available, as of now I know no tools that can be used to edit the print on the Title Screen.

At the rate Melonhead and I are finding all the offsets for this stuff I'm sure we could figure this out if it was really needed. But it is such a minor thing. Though I might want to edit it for FFT:C so I will tell you if I figure it out LD.

But yeah certainly not easy.

Optimus looks better IMO. It's a little more plain/simple I guess but I think that works a lot better for the screen.

I agree, the second font is nicer and simpler. Though I'd suggest to use a stroke for the FFHhacktics part, as opposed to a glow.

- added Mav's suggestion
- made MERCENARIES wider so it matches FFT logo in width
- made ffhacktics.com more in line with Square 1997/1998

Perfect font for Mercenaries, but I don't like the bigger font / caps for  "FFH" in www.ffhacktics.com.

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)

<Raijinili> remember that? it was awful

An alternative, perhaps? I've "recreated" the font used in that Square 1997/1998 part. Here's a mockup of how it could look on-screen. Voldemort, if you're interested, I'd be happy to post a png of the font alone and fill you in on how to replicate the look of the Square font.

sure, ask LD though

Hmm... that looks a bit difficult on the eyes, while it doesn't clash it... hmm... well, is this only for the FFHacktics.com portions?

Fuck, I forgot to mention that there's some messiness on the FFHacktics part. I'm trying to replicate the way it looks on the Square portion, but the effect came out too strong. Likewise the stroke isn't perfect. I could post a cleaner version, but if you're not interested it's perfectly fine--this is your project, after all.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and post the cleaner version and give it the same overlay Voldemort's been giving his.  It won't hurt anything, and it will allow LastingDawn to see it sooner if he wants to than you waiting for his go ahead to post it.

Alright, I took a stab at what Silvas suggested. Unfortunately, it's kinda incomplete--but you can see clearly how the cleaner font would look with the overlay.

That looks much better.    It looks like it would blend with the Square logo pretty well.  I think that is the look to go with for the web address.

how do I merge your part of the image with my .png?
:)

I would copy and paste it but I think your address is off where it's supposed to be in relation to the in-game crap

if it's correctly placed I'll just copy paste that part into mine and upload the .png

Sweet.

I've attached the font with a [hopefully] transparent background. If the background isn't transparent (it'll probably be a nasty pink color), just edit that out and place the font wherever it needs to go. If you still have your file before it's been made more transparent, then it shouldn't be a problem: just copy/paste it onto your file, do your transparency and everything should be fine and dandy.

Heh, hopefully that made sense.

EDIT: Shit, did you want me to do a copy job over yours, Voldemort? I couldn't get the transparency exact, so I resorted to making the font in a transparent PNG. And if you want me to recolor the font, I can do that pretty quick.
