I hope the new time mages come with gold plated knuckle dusters that say TIME MAGE in bold letters, big fuzzy hats, gold teeth and pimp canes.

Just a thought.

Thank you for the download link. Now I can listen to it in the car . Definitely going to check out more of what Kevin does. Looking forward to the new game.

Okay so I played and own Voidspire Tactics after some hesitation and I can't be more happy that I bought it. Voidspire tactics had something unique about it that made me not put it down since the moment I picked it up. The exploration aspect of the game was what really kept my interest (things like placing planks across a broken bridge in order to get across). The story was good and I am a bit disappointed that you are not currently expanding on the lore of that game. Something I would like to see was to import your data from the first game into a new game where maybe the party landed in the shredded lands and took off from there. With maybe a third game taking place with the same party during a war between the Searital Alliance and Jasce Empire.

The emphasize on combat over exploration does disappoint me as I feel that is the strongest aspect of Voidspire Tactics but the gameplay on the first was excellent. What I want to see from your new game is more interaction in the environment and a greater variety in crafting. The class system in Voidspire Tactics was well done and I would like to see more of a variety of jobs and abilities in this new game. Some new sprites would be appreciated also as it would segregate itself from Voidspire Tactics.

With or without a controller, Voidspire Tactics is definitely worth picking up and the keyboard controls are labeled and OBVIOUS and lend themselves to the gameplay and are easy to use. Definitely worth the money despite my initial hesitation.

And I must say that the music in Voidspire Tactics was EXCELLENT and I wish someone (looking at you dev) would upload the main hub area's music to YouTube so I can download it to my phone (HD of course :)).

And it's pretty much that easy. He who controls the pants controls the galaxy!

Heres a list of characters and/or games that I would like to see make cameo's, be enemies or even join the team. Most of these will probably be PS1 games or other strategy games.

Chrono, Frog & Magus (Janus) - Chrono Trigger
Lord Oddeye- Shining Force 2
Lenneth, Lezard, Lucian, Arngrim, Freya and Brahms - Valkyrie Profile
Rudy, Jack & Cecilia - Wild Arms
Ryu Hayabusa - Ninja Gaiden
Fox Hound - MGS
Mario, Luigi, Peach & Bowser - Mario Bros
Gods Ten Wise Men - Star Ocean: The Second Story
Megaman

Most of these are probably pretty ridiculous and or impossible but it's something to think about and have fun with. A great idea to replace the Deep Dungeon would to be have fights against other game characters in the Deep Dungeon.

Megaman could have a wide skill set and make for a really cool optional character endgame or post game. I would also lose my shit if I saw Oddeye pop up as a strong boss. Shining Force Represent!!

EDIT
Plus anyone from Suikoden, because... Suikoden.

I really, really hate when strategy games go for the luck based system to carry out battles (ala tactics 1.3). Please stay away from using that kind of system for your typical encounter.

Having said that I did not notice a problem with needing to be lucky to win or having enemies pull off crazy evades. The Sephiroth fight seemed very appropriate since you were dealing with an enemy who is supposed to be extremely skilled and his high evasion fit him very well.

The only problem I encountered with enemies evading was when I was trying to assassinate people with Snake. In that case too I was very successful assassinating many enemies. Again the balance is top notch although I have not played since my original playthrough.

Currently playing Valkyria Chronicles & The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

Being a huge BFM fan, I'm surprised I've never heard of that second game. It must be really bad.

I never played it but it looked really bad. All the things you enjoyed about the first seemed to be sucked right out of it. Critics did not seem to like it either.

I more like the difficulty where the only way to win is to take advantage of every available resource, you are forced to create a unique strategy for every situation, and you end up dying several times before that happens.

So your one of those sado-masochist types eh? I'm checking your closet for whips and chains. ;)

Cereal though I don't see the appeal of the insanely derpy mods that are out there. It's like Xif said they become little more than RNG battles wherein a little bad luck ruins an other wise flawless game plan. I prefer a more balanced but hard approach which Jot5 seems to provide from what I have played with the original chapter 1 release. I had stayed mostly to the base jobs which made the game a bit harder from the get go but I had a lot of fun with it despite avoiding some of the harder random battles (TURTLES).

Jot5's greatest strength will be showcased with balanced gameplay more than the appeal of the five main characters.

Had a quick suggestion... can you set Death Sentence to do 999 damage after 3 turns instead of instant death? The idea is that it stays basically the same on normal enemies, but on bosses with ??? HP, it could be strategic to cast it on them. I feel that this would not be OP in the regard that it takes 3 turns to work, and on bosses, 3 turns can take forever. That way bosses wouldn't have to be set to be immune to it. It's a Final Fantasy game that all about Tactics, so... yeah... Hope that helps

I think that would make Split Punch extremely OP.

3 years is really nothing when you see most indie games developed by actual studios taking around 10 years and they have not even a fraction of the quality that Jot5 has.
