err

the title of this topic is very misleading

this isn't a HOW TO guide on spriting

change the title of this topic, or put up a better sticky with some instructions on how to make  / insert sprites

I am trying to follow the first tutorial, "Replacing Sprites in the Formation Screens". But after I type in unit.bin (in the folder it is located), nothing happens. There is no option to save .PAL file or anything, all I have are the default menus with the sprite editor (open/save/exit, and import/export sprites for the psp/psx, and about). Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

There's a Japanese program for that.

From my understanding it works better?
I refuse to play Final Fantasy Tactics again until I am able to do my FF6 patch! And, FFT 1.3 doesn't technically count as FFT: so there!

Okay. I got the Japanese program and am going to edit sprites and portraits for formation screens that way. Thanks

I need a sprite for the jobs and monsters I'm making. For the Arcane Knight I need this much, of course it's only a request if no one takes it I'll just have to make due.
MALE:
White trenchcoat-like coat with a hoody, hoody must be up
the hood has a yellow circle on it
Red undershirt
face is black due to hood, the sleeves are long, the coat reaches to his feet, and he has red shoes.
FEMALE:
White trenchcoat-like coat with a hoody, hoody must be up
the hood has a pink circle on it
Blue undershirt
face is black due to hood, the sleeves are long, the coat reaches to her feet, and he has blue shoes.

This would go in the sprite request section.

Sorry, didn't see that section until today, I did look for it for 15 minutes, which is a lot of time to be looking through a list of names.

If anyone could make a guide for sprite making, because I suck, that would be appreciated. I have GraphicsGale, but I can't figure it out.

What is it exactly that you don't get?

I'm trying to make ovelia a brown traveling cloak, but I don't know where I can see the pixels that go with the sprite, I don't really know where the color wheel is, The grid does help, but the color swapper for one pixel doesn't work!
