Hello,
Not sure if i should ask here or in the bug section, but i tried to use TLW 2.021 Resources - FFTText Editor on ms.excel to edit some miss spelled translation on original FFT, which left unchanged on TLW.
After editing some of the text and scan for invalid character, i cant export it to .ffttext file, it always said runtime error 76; path not found.
At first i thought my ms excel 2007 outdated or maybe something wrong so i tried reinstall all the component, but the error persisted.
Last night i tried to export it on my brother laptop, and runtime error 76 also appeared.
Can i ask someone please check on the TLW 2.021 Resources - FFTText Editor please? or perhaps explain to me what mistake i did? all that i change is only few text like despair2 to dispelna. Thanks a lot for replying, and if i put this on wrong section i will remove it.

hello, its been a while since i last log in on FF Hacktics...
anyone can help point me on how to modify things?
since WOTL cant assign different formation sprite to other ID, i changed dead malak event formation sprite to delita sprite,
changed the text on FFtactext, modify the job on FFT patcher, and changed the sprite on shishi editor,
but now i'm kind of stuck on how to add him on my party through event.
i tried to modify the ENTD event after battle of zeltenia castle
where ramza meet delita on chapter 4, i changed the id of delita in that event to the modified malak,
then i put "join after event" option, but the character do not join my party in the end,
is the event simply do not have join party requirement or do i need to do something else to make delita join my party?
please help me, its been a while since i tried to modify FFT, and i kinda lost here...

Help! / PSX reis (holy dragon) formation sprite? anyone?

i've searched reis (holy dragon) formation sprite on WOTL unit.bin last year but i found nothing, presuming the fault within WOTL different coding, i gave up.
But just few days ago, i tried editing PSX FFT unit.bin, and yet i still did not found reis (holy dragon) formation sprite..
i've tried searching on the FFHacktics forum about it too.. but still nothing.
so, does anyone know where or how to change FFT PSX version of reis (holy dragon) formation sprite?
or maybe its still in the black box part of the files and there's no one know where it is?
sorry for asking so many questions, but this one really bugs me..
and thanks a lot for listening my grumble. :3

Help! / a question, can i edit map on WOTL?

i mean, we have desert map, volcano map, but we can only found snowy field on few event battle only, so im thinking of adding snow to fovoham plains, but is it possible to do it on WOTL?
if i can, what program should i use?
i've read this.. http://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=2479.180 but can it be used to open WOTL map? or there's other program i can use to edit it?

or.. perhaps make use of some of the snow event battle map like ziekden fort? (i mean to make it random battle encounter, maybe?)

hi, there.. as im still new to changing status effect, i want to ask something.
if i want to change status stone to not to be counted as KO and the stoned unit can still be attacked until their HPs turn to zero what else should i change?
i've unchecked counts as KO and ignore attack, but i dont understand the others option without description
and also if i change the status, if i attack the the stoned unit until its HP reaches zero (on stoned status) will it turn to death animation and died as other normal unit (counts as KO), or it will still be on stoned status (not counted as KO)?

on FFT Patcher, i wonder if there's similar formula i can use to replace iaido formula
(to avoid broken equipment, but not change the ability effect as much if possible)
from my experience, i can use :
4E : Dmg_(MA*Y) NS ME formula to replace the 20 : Dmg_(MA*Y) NS NE// may display broken formula for damager type iaido ability such as ashura, muramasa or chirijiraden

4C : Heal_(MA*Y) NS NE formula to replace 23 : Heal_(MA*Y) NS NE// may display broken formula
for healer type iaido like murasame

38 : Hit_(100%) status NE formula to replace 22 : Hit_(100%) status NE// may display broken formula for add status type iaido like kiyomori or masamune

my question now, is there any similar MP damager formula i can use to replace osafune formula?
btw, im using WOTL ISO so ASM hack is a no.. >.<;

Help! / a question regarding Agrias birthday event

anyone know or can help explaining to me what condition trigger agrias birthfay event? as far as i know, you will need to be in chp 4, agrias, mustadio, alicia & lavian on party and landed on a city on cancer1, mine has it all but it wont trigger the event, anything else i miss?
i do however using all item cwcheat including tynar rouge on my inventory, is this prevented the event for happening?
and if it do, if i edit my inventory back (removes the tynar rouge) with lion editor will it give me back access to the event? thanks bfore..

for example, i want to frankensprite sprite A & B, i want to move A head part to replace B
hair color of sprite A palette is on number 4,5 and 6 on its palette set.
while sprite B number 4,5 and 6 palette is dress color (the head color is on 7, 8 and 9)
the manual (and really troublesome) way i do it now :
open sprite A on graphic gale, and replace A palette from sprite B (the sprite will look messy)
edit one by one bit those hair color (and often got me a miss >.<)
so anyone know is there any easier way to designate sprite?
(for example to direct all sprite A hair color from number 4, 5 and 6 to number 7, 8 & 9)
that would help me a lot for editing sprites..

which number is cloud join event?
i found that 188 is the first recruit scene and the beowulf related event but i dont see cloud's..
did i miss something?

anyone know where reis formation sprite is stored on WOTL?
i've tried open UNIT.BIN with FFTEVGRP. but no sign of her formation sprite there..
(the WLDFACE.BIN still got her portrait though..)
i've tried change her palette to white, all (including her formation portrait) works except her sprite (still purple).

any opinion/ suggestion for a good custom sprite to replace the female summoner?
currently im using Lijj's female parivir sprite and its better than the original
but im still open to any other suggestion..
probably something with matching attire with the male summoner?

kinda miss the old spell quote randomly said on original FFT, any way to return it on EU/US WOTL?
i heard the japanese WOTL still got it, i wonder why they removed it on EU/US version..

Elmdor's entry, for instance, is base job 1B, between Malak and Teta.

Then you should be able to use FFTEVGRP, available in Downloads > Miscellaneous from the main page, to edit the sprites themselves. There are a few unused sprites (e.g. 08) which can be overwritten.

Pre-battle is still wrong, probably, but that's life.


my question now, is the value changed on WOTL? if it changed, anyone know which part now assign formation screen sprite?

first time trying to edit sprite.. i hope i did not offend anyone/ do anything wrong with the copyrights
(the credits of the original works goes to Lijj, Tojoe, Twinees & Theultrawolf as the original creator, im only patch up their works a little)
1. Often i wonder how meliadoul looks without her hood, so the meliadoul unveiled really take my attention, especially her potrait look.. i edited it a little, give her hair color similar to izlude (kinda regretted it. I really like the original red hair color), patch up the hair on Theultrawolf meliadoul portrait and the last i put the original gold armor back.

2. Im trying to give onimusha look on Lijj male samurai, (i hope u do not mind im using your works Lijj..)
i put back the original red color, cleaned a bit on portrait cheek to give a younger impression.. but i got trouble here and there, especially fixing the armor.. here it is.. its still looks weird on the armor portrait though..

any comments is welcomed..or anyone can help fix it?

i only want to assign ID 05 (holy knight Delita chapter 2) to slot 08 sprite & picture on
UNIT.BIN & WLDFACE.BIN.

could do the work but it needed FFT orgASM to apply the patch to WORLD.BIN & ATTACK_OUT
and as far as i know at the moment FFT orgASM cant patch WOTL iso yet..
so is there's any other way to patch .xml files to WOTL?

for example, anyone know which hex should be edited on WORLD.BIN & ATTACK OUT?

hi all, im new here..and i should say wow, i'm impressed, i did'nt know there's a lot of FFT fans out there that willing to exploring FFT mechanics till this extend..
after browsing and searching and some of the tutorials i have a question about character sprite..i hope that there's someone that could explain/ help me.. i've tried hacking on FFT (PSX) character rooster to add some of officially unplayable character such as alma, ovelia or delita on my character formation rooster, but im left with a disappointment because square that time left some incomplete character design on formation screen such as delita with chapter 1 ramza sprite.
next FFT WOTL came out, after the rumor Delita is now playable and seeing delita zirekille battle, once again they got my hope up that delita sprite fixed already. but after i hack to his character using lioneditor, once again im left disappointed.. even those whose appearance small like Balmafula (Valmafra in PSP) got her own sprite design.. why SE left more major character sprite being incomplete..
now, my question is can the sprite on formation screen be fixed? if it can, can anyone kind enough to help explain on how i fixed those?
