I know I said that the Female Gambler would be up by today.  However, my scanner has said otherwise.  XP

It's been a while since I used it so it's probably just being bitchy about having been forgotten all this time.  I'm just still wondering how come the Male Gambler came out good when it completely did not accept the female...  Hmm...  >.<

Regardless, the Female Gambler scan will be up sometime in the next few days or sooner, depending on when I can get my scanner to work right or the next time I can get to my girlfriend's scanner.

Until it's up, though, I can still tinker around with what throwbacks to past FF games I can add to it.  Any suggestions, anyone?

You could place a Cait Sith doll somewhere on her person.  He's one of two "gambler" focused characters I know of from the series, and I don't really think she should be made to look like... Setzer?  Or did I get his name wrong?

Hmm, are there any female Gamblers that are reminiscent of the FF series? I suppose Daryll might count...

There are the ladies from FFX-2, but they're fairly ridiculous looking:

Annoying how so much of the clothing in recent games aren't at all proper battle attire.

Then there are the Corsairs from FF11.  Pirate-themed gamblers, basically:

Not sure there's much else, gambler concept-wise, aside from Setzers and Cait Siths.  Daryl's a good idea, but is there actually any art of her?

Yeah, I'm not making her look like Setzer.  His style of clothing would deviate from the original plan a bit too much.  As for Daryll, I was seriously considering her design for the Female Gambler but I really only have her in-game sprite to go off of.

In the end, I considered integrating some of FF9's Zidane's clothing choices into both female and (later on) male Gamblers since it seem to fit better with the character's personality, IMO.  I know Zidane isn't a Gambler but he's got that overconfidence, swagger, charm and appeal with the opposite sex, and positive outlook on life that makes me think of a Gambler.  'Cause, I mean, Gamblers need to look on the brighter side of things most of the time.  If they didn't, they'd be too hung up on their losses to keep going with their profession.

It's harder to describe in words versus simply looking at it.  I'm working on a fix for my scanner as I speak, though, but it's coming along kind of slow.  Steady, but slow.  After looking into it more, I've found that it was a connection error that made the scanner just not work.  The USB hookup isn't working right for some reason so I'm going to have to find another cord somewhere around the house or, worse comes to worse, buy another cord.  It's not a big deal.

By the end of the day, it might be up.  I should be able to get another cord by then.

Huzzah!  I finally got my scanner to work!  Here's what's been promised: my FFT-style mock up of the Female Gambler.  I'm still working on both Male and Female arts just to touch it up a bit but I managed to do more with the Female Gambler while trying to fix my scanner.

As always, comments and criticism are welcome, especially on my take on a Zidane-esque Gambler look worked out fine.  I wanted subtle but the cuffs on the gloves is kind of a dead giveaway. :D

Beautiful. Great job with the dice--she really does look like a gambler, not like some kind of crazy minx. Those cuffs are freaking awesome.

Heheh, who's next? Male Reliquian?

As always very impressive and good work with the proportions, she looks very suited to her character.

I like 'em a lot. Their clothes are wicked. The eyes on both still need work though--they're just a bit too large and anime-like. Are they the same character?

Oh, haha. Looks like I'm really poor at the eyes. Yes, they are the same actually. I'm just not sure which outfit is better. He is a Fencer, actually and I was hoping that maybe he may get a chance to be part of Mercenaries, maybe a few sidequests ^^

I signed up for this site wayyyy too late, I sooo wish I had gotten here sooner. Umm...I have lots of concept art for FFT that I have done, personally I thought I could never use it but...if you guys can or want too I would love to offer it up. And I can do more ^.^ fun hobby of mine anyways. This would be a pretty cool re-done knight, it was orginally gonna actually be a new character but w/e is best ^.^.

Here is some more of that characters concept art, I figured it'd be better if I gave you more than one example to run from, hope this helps, I seriously do.
