If nothing else, Navi should be included in Link's dead pose.

Nanten's the red/black/gold motif, Glabados dons the magenta/white.

If I remember correctly.

And Crush is like an instant Jump attack, animation wise, iirc.

You just gave me the idea that perhaps it would make more since if Rad left with Gafgarion.  After all, he is one of Gaff's apprentices, and would probably be pretty loyal to him.

But I'm not helping you by saying that, am I?      sorry, I know nothing useful

Love the beard idea for Olan.  It shows time has passed without making him unrecognizeable.

I'm fine with the robes.  Blue/gold might be closer to Lesalia's color scheme than Zeltennia's, but then again, I doubt that every single Zeltennian wears nothing but red/black every single day anyway.  It was Kanbabrif's scheme, after all, and he was at least ostensibly an aide of Goltana's.

Ditto on Vimeo.  I'll leave it at that because it's morning here and I like to stay mellow in the morning.  And popping blood vessels hurt.

Also, a red blue mage?  Beautiful

I'm not really adding much if I just say "Ditto to all the above," am I?  That is to say, Agrias was wonderfully voiced, garfgarog was ridiculous.

Also, Alazlam was amazing, and I really liked the voices of the extras, that female knight that bursts through the monastery door and Lezales.

Would watch more.

The fact that my little Dorminid's going to have her own crew makes me as giddy as a pixelated little girl.

By the way, the quality and sheer volume of sprites and portraits coming out of this board is reaching nigh-Renaissance proportions.  I regret leveling up so much in the Scholar class rather than as an Artist; my growth rates are too screwed up now.  *Sigh*  I suppose all that's left for me to do is stand back and appreciate!

I prefer the blue/steel look over the gold.  Gold's a bit ostentatious for Ramza, I'd think.

I like the idea of giving him one set color palette though, makes the sprite look more consistent.

Looks exactly like my best friend from elementary school would want to look like if ever he were sprited.  That's how I used to draw him in comic book form 15 years ago, anyway, minus the hat.

On topic: nice sprite.  Looks like he'd make an excellent monk/pirate/bobybuilder/Luke Cage-espe superhero type character.  I'd give him a 12-panel Wave Fist and invincibility regardless.

They will indeed.  Monsters tend to have automatic access to all of their abilities, rather than the AI assigning the abilities via set JP limits like they would for human generics.

Works perfectly fine.

It's very appropriate that you have Reis's portrait.  Very nice dragons.

What kinds of abilities do ya think they'd get?

Oh.  My.

You know, as much as I've been editing in the past couple of weeks, that is the first time I have ever seen the Action Menu tab.  For a second there I thought I must have an old version, but nope, there it is.

You saved ma life!  Or rather, made my patch function just a bit better.  Don't want to over exaggerate too much.  Regardless, merci.

PSX FFT Hacking / Using Blue Magic with Math Skill
July 10, 2008, 09:43:33 pm
Okay, so I've deleted my original post on the subject of Blue Magic, because I figured out what I was doing wrong, so nevermind any of that.

I'm using Math Skill as my skillset for Blue Magic.  How can I use any of my abilities in battle?  I'm always getting the error message that I haven't learned any 'combo abilities,' and thus cannot use any of my correctly learned blue magic.

Is there something I can do to make my abilities usable?  Do I have to flag them as Math Skill abilities?  Will monsters still be able to use them naturally if that is the case?

I'm embarrassed  :?.

Quote from: "bastardpoetry"Red and black. There we go! Too bad this all takes place after the Lion War.. I'll have to smudge that lion out or something..
I doubt that after the war Lesalia's and Zeltennia's respective lions would cease to exist.  They're the seals for those particular regions, no?  If Olan is duke of Zeltennia, I would think he'd still use the black lion motif, unless I'm wrong and the lions belonged specifically to Larg and Goltanna.

Regardless of whether Olan still uses a lion insignia or not, perhaps he's an antique enthusiast and decides to keep his old liege lord's stuff (including flag!), you know, for old times' sake?  I doubt Olan would be the iconoclastic type to smudge out all traces of his duchy's rich history.

You get to be a badass Blue Mage, Happy birthday. There I made your clauses make a little bit more since. At the very least more sense than the Santa Clause. Glad you like the portrait, have you seen the sprite?
I have indeed seen the sprite, which is a big part of my excitement!

On another unrelated note, your work is very impressive, Cheetah.

On fourth thought, it's fine playing it via emulator.  At least this way I can edit on the fly if need be.  Really I just need a new computer chair, which I, uh, now realize might be somewhat difficult for you guys to help with.

But this does give me ideas if I ever get to the point where I am beyond satisfied with my patch and want to play it like a legitimate PS1 thing, so thanks to both of you.
