I have added new skills and some, like miluda's 4 sword skills, will need them.

im also gonna add in some for things i think should have had them, like magic barrier. but still i want the quotes to match closely to the ones that already exist.

---------------first 4 are miluda's sword skills-- all have AoE 1
Venom Blade  - 2D damage formula, causes poison
Moon Scraper - 2D damage formula, causes sleep
Delta Petra     - 2D damage formula, causes petrify  
Lifeshaver      - 2D damage formula, (weaker, multi target drain)

Magic Barrier -

Esunaga (deathspell2) -

Osmosis (self mp recovery like ma based chakra)

Graviga- Lvl3 gravity, lower target hp to 25%
Gravija - Lvl4 gravity, Might use gravi2's quote as it does the same thing

well, calculators have been dummied now, and COULD be used as the blue mage sprite as well. but I was thinking more along the lines of using the Red mage sprite + Cheetah's female red mage just made blue. tho i guess the hats could be altered as well.

What say you?

Okay, everyone must all know by now how some jobs like i dunno.. MONK are quite a bit more useful than other jobs. Id like to try and nerf some things while improving others for the generic jobs. Only thing is im pretty satisfied with every job's skillsets as they are. If anyone has any ideas that'd be sweet.

One idea i had was to make "barehanded" or item 0 the "materia blade" item and make monk skills require it, but that wouldn't really nerf monks it would only make it so you couldnt use the skills while equipped with a weapon.

Im at a loss for what to do really, or perhaps nothing really needs to be done?

After the poll about weather to keep mimes or calculators available, ive decided to create blue mages in place of Calculators.

Based on what skills Monsters and enemy humans have, what would you guys like to see? Ultima COULD be included here if removed from ramza's guts set.

One of these generic jobs must be sacrificed in order to allow enemy humans to have lvl8 JP in every job enabled in order to create tougher random battles.

so which is it guys? Calculators can make the game too easy, Mimes have that potential too but i think it would take more to make that work.

Here I will list the points in the game where the story has been altered. I am also open to suggestions.

-Chapter 1
Chapter 1 revolves quite a bit around Tietra, as it originally did with Algus, who does not join you for long in this game.

Igros Garden

The first change that you will notice? Delita will ask Tietra to come with the group to Dorter. Algus will stay behind at Igros asking to have a discussion with Zalbag.

Sweegy Woods

Obviously its different, Tietra s with you. Besides that, Delita finds a "beautiful" stone on the ground and gives it to his sister for good luck.

Slums in Dorter

Tietra is with you instead of Algus.

Dorter Interrogation

Tietra performs the interrogation, her actions here reveal a not so subtle change in her attitude.

Cellar of Sand Mouse

Tietra's attitude gets worse as she takes similar actions towards Wiegraf that Algus would have had he been there.

Thieves Fort

Tietra takes the actions in place of Algus, there are a few dialog changes.
At this point Delita should begin questioning the stability of his sibling.

Igros


Algus gets abducted from Igros since he is in the castle instead of Tietra.
He is mistaken for the youngest Beoulve son. Tietra tells Delita that its not worth saving a common fencer and in the end she is expelled from the Beoulve residence.

Mandalia plains scene

A scene at mandalia plains shows the last sight you get of Tietra in Chapter 1. Here you see that Tietra is puzzled by her own actions and claims, to her two newly hired units, that she feels a voice inside her head telling her what to do.

Lenalia Plateau


Two generic units get some attention here, Jade and Fabian. After defeating Miluda here, she tells Ramza "this isn't over" and orders Jade and Fabian to run. The three of them escape and are not seen again for quite some time.

Windmill Shed

Obviously Algus is the hostage here instead of Tietra. Slight dialog changes. During the battle, if all the lines are allowed to play Ramza insists to Wiegraf that Miluda is still alive. Wiegraf does not believe him because she is nowhere to be found. The rest of the event pans out normally.

Ft Zeakden


Poor abucted Algus, I wonder how he would have felt if he had the memory of what he had done in the original game. Zalbag does not make an appearance here clearing him from being an asshole like in the original when he gave the order to shoot. Currently a common fencer fires the arrow. This could be changed later.

Return 2 - Renamed Return, now auto targets all enemies.

Bio - Damage value equal to lvl 1 black magic, only the green version exists now.

I'm not quite sure where to post this but since ive played around with event compiler im just going to mention what some unlabled event instructions do.
(correct me if im wrong)

Removes unit with matching ID from party weather its a normal unit or a guest. [used whenever guests leave the group]

Okay so as some know im working alone on a patch. slowly but surely.

It's not a complete story change, however, I have done a few "things" to warp the story. Adding in some new characters and new jobs and abilities as well. A real goal of mine is to make the game significantly more difficult weather you have special units or not.

Ideas are always welcome.

I'm currently still working on chapter 1. The only big things that happen differently are that Algus decides to stay at Igros after you rescue him, and Delita invites Teta to come along with the group to Dorter. Along the way The Aquarius stone is found, yes this early, but nothing real obvious happens yet pertaining to lucavi. Miluda also escapes from the original fate given to her by square, she may be stubborn but shell see the light eventually eh...

Money: Gained money during battle will be cut down to 1/4 also the resale value of items will also be reduced to 1/4 the norm instead of 1/2 price.

Ramza's skills besides the normal 4 are blue magic and rare. Can you get them all? we shall see.

Izlude - Knight Blade: Mighty Sword skills that dont miss monsters
(With orlandu out of the picture and the Mighty Sword formula fixed hopefully, theres absolutely no problem with him joining up after the point that Orlandu normally would have already been there. I am debating his skillset because I would like to have skills similar to sword skills, for the Spear/Pole only weapons.

Miang - Terror Knight: Terror Blade, Uses the Fear skills that the zodiac monsters use, but at MP cost, and they also do physical damage.

Balmafula- Arch Witch: She will join you instead of Orlandu and has a great skillset.

Boco: Boco will not breed this time and will have more skills, however i dont have a way to make him mountable as of yet.

Rad - Dark Knight: Rad becomes a full fledged Dark Knight later in the game. Has 4 skills instead of just 2.

Miluda - Cross Knight: This bitch is bad, will she really let go of her stubborn streak long enough to team up with Ramza? hmmm i havent decided yet.

Alicia - Mystic Knight: she will either have elemental sword skills, or in the event that I am able to create spear only skills for izlude, she will become the Divine Knight of the group.

Lavian - Flame Seer: The ultimate fire magic user who has access to the 4 normal fire spells as well as an Oil inducing skill, Melt, Incinerate, and Omegaflare (flare2)

Deis - ?????: She has access to the Four ultimate elemental spells Melt, Tornado, Quake, Flood and might also come with lesser water, wind and earth spells if i don't have another job that uses them.

Zalbag - Arch Knight: His skillks now have no CT and he also has one additional skill "Shock!" from beowulf's original set

Aliste - Templar: Templars are different in this game, they will have some custom sword skills but the "Magic Sword" set based off of oracle skills is no more. Aliste is not ill in this, Beowulf died at his hands, Reis is pissed! well youll see...

Larg - Duke: His job indicates that of the nobility, however his abilities reflect aquired skills gained after an assassination attempt with poison.

Every normal monster will have a level 4 version maybe even level 5 for some. they will not be recruitable.

Every special job will have a generic version. (will i use all of them? probably not, however, i promise you the that you dont want to walk right in to the middle of the Assassin clans just to name an example.

Assassins: I removed Ultima from their set it doesnt really seem to make sense there. Instead they will have a poison skill that inflicts poison or doom at a 100% chance

Old Project Ideas / Monster Mod

Okay this may be a waste of a new topic but I must know...

I don't normally play around with monsters too much as of yet but I'm wondering if giving a normal monster, with no skill changes, the "martial arts" support, will it actually strengthen them or have no effect at all?

im not talking about altima or ultima demons who have non monster sets... i mean will this do anything at all for, say a chocobo or goblin etc?

okay i was just telling someone how to make a non breeding chocobo when i got the idea to make a monster that can learn monster skills blue mage style... is it at all possible? im using a job that functions in the same way as ultima demons/worker8/holy dragon etc... but everything i try it still has everything auto learned....

Old Project Ideas / Doppelganger as an enemy job

I'm hoping someone knows a way, Im simply trying to create a job that forces any special character to use a second color palette over their first one in battle. obviously selecting palette 1 or higher doesnt change anything on a special unit.

see what im trying to do is make it so you can run into "fake" versions of some special characters and have to fight stronger versions. but, without having to create totally new sprites for ppl like ramza or agrias....

i made a secondary  palette for ch 2 ramza where his armor is red, but i can find no way to force the sprite to use it over the first blue one.

so given only the available gfx from the game, what spells would you add to the game?

i would REALLY like to find a way to take the leviathan spell minus the leviathan picture and make and make a spell like "Flood" to go with the dimension magic skillset of Quake, Melt, Tornado

i think its tacky that a water spell is missing... well anyway that would be MY first project if i could find a way to do it without destroying the skill leviathan.
