I can't seem to understand how you guys put your portraits correctly in the sprite. I can only edit a portrait's colors, not the actual portrait.

hmmm are you referring to how they look odd when you export the file into a
bmp because they have the wrong color palette or something else?

let me know exactly what you're doing and ill try to walk you thru it.

Ah, well I am just asking how you put the portraits when the portrait is separated from the sprite. When I export the .bmp file, I see the wrong colors of the portrait, so I am asking how you guys do it.

heres what i do. first i save the actual sprites color palette so that i can re-import it later. i then create a color palette specifically for editing the portrait by itself.

when im done with my portrait i create a dummy version of the sprite just with the portrait that contains its correct color palette. i open it with the sprite editor and then import the origional sprites color palette. ( now youll see that your portrait looks like it has the wrong colors.

i do not have anything like photoshop or whatever so i have to use my snespal to go in and add the portraits colors in the right spot... hmm i bet you
that kyari has a less complicated way to edit the palette..
