Changing the Random names...

I think it would be nice to change some of the names the generics you meet and hire to some people of the forum...

the names are stored in 3 (if my memory serves me well) different places, and just changing the hex number's of the letters can make you change them...

Propose some names too.

I named my D2 Pally like that way back then... the dictionary is a treasure for good names!

I'd likely change them to names from a random generator.  I think there's some that do Fantasy or European names.

Some of the ones in the FFT list are kinda weird, it would be nice to be able to replace them.

Heck, you could also include the names of some of the more infamous people, just so we can kick the crap out of 'em!

I just realized, I wish we could have different lists for like, classes.  So we could have all Samurai and Ninja have random Japanese names, but Knights would have European names.

I know that's not possible, but man it would be cool.

So, I doubt we could do it for each class.

Hmm... perhaps every character in the game could get a new name! If someone does that, please name every mindflare in the entire game "bastardpoetry." Red suits me, and I'd love it if every time someone saw bastardpoetry, they'd go, "OH HELL! There's a bastardpoetry. Gotta kill that one quick!"

What is in the current pool?

Ivan, Ishtar, Levin, Reyson, and Nutella. Random Generated names aren't really that important though. I would like to see Wiglaf in place of Wiegraf, assuming people haven't gotten too attached to that name.

ZOdiac, i'm wondering if beside changing random names, we can make it so that all humans are flagged as monsters, so that you can change char's names as much as you want....

Uh, I'll have to look into that. I doubt the monster flag is used only for that. Y'know, you might not be able to change job with that character after that. ;/
