Aside from using a digital camera, does anyone have some programs / plugins that let them record video off of the PSP?  I have a plugin that lets me take screen shots on the PSP, but I need a video capture one so I can post some animations of the sprite I'm working on.

I think Remote Joy is what you're looking for. It's an app that lets you display PSP games on your PC monitor. I think it has recording capabilities. Unfortunately, I never got around to installing it completely, so I don't think I can be more helpful.

Thanks for the tip.  I think this is exactly what I need.  I have managed to get it running to the point that I can have my PSP's screen rendered on the PC screen.  It looks like I'll have to use some video capture software in conjunction with this, but I already have some of that so that won't be a problem.

Unfortunately I am only getting around 19-20 fps when playing FFT.  It seems like it is running at about 50 - 60% the speed that the game normally runs at.  Yet the games in all of the demo video clips seem to be running at (or at least close to) full speed.  Anyone have any ideas why this would be the case?  I am going to be posting a sprite I am working on soon, and it only really looks impressive if it is animated (it's an angel sprite complete with wings).

Which emulator are you running?

None, I'm running it natively on the PSP.  Remote Joy is used to direct the video from the PSP to the PC for video capture.  Although I do own the PSX version of the game, so if this becomes too much a hassle I may switch to that for video capture.

If you've got a slim, and a video capture card, you could always take the videos like that. Or a phat with the very perty tv-ps2 controller addon ^.^

Hmmm... I didn't think of that.  I'll have to check if my video card has the correct video in.  I remember it had something like that....

Well, I was wrong on the video in thing.  It is a digital out on my video card so I can plug my computer into a digital TV.  I think I got it confused because at one time I did have a video capture card (although it was a very cheap one).  Unfortunately that is at my parents' house now.

Use CamStudio, it's free
I refuse to play Final Fantasy Tactics again until I am able to do my FF6 patch! And, FFT 1.3 doesn't technically count as FFT: so there!
