Fuck, I just realized that I thickened his right eyebrow instead of thinning it...I'll fix that later. But thanks for the good suggestions Cheetah--I think I cleaned up his beard properly...

Ah, I thought you used the King's portrait to fix up the beard--either way, you did pretty damn well, Seu. All your contributions definitely sped up the process. I mean, I'm actually happy with the way he looks now. He doesn't look too much like Abe Lincoln, or an Amish man, or even Dycedarg. :>

This version includes a slightly modified right eyebrow from last time, fixed earring (which is still under construction), and I think that's it.

The portrait progress is looking fantastic, he certainly looks like a hardy brigand of the high seas.

Haha, fantastic work on the portrait! I love the skull and crossbones, and yet he still doesn't look completely ruthless, which is excellent.

Blah, I can't seem to get the earring to look right. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix it? It's supposed to be a loop (I think that's what pirates wear), but I just can't get it situated properly. Maybe it's his ear or something...I dunno. But, yeah, tell me how to fix it and I think the portrait will be done.

How's the sprite going?

I know that the base is on th first page, and it is indeed a fine base, we just need to expand on that.

Alright, I redrew and recolored the earring. What do you think?

Can you try to use the white and grays on the earring? Zoomed out it just looks like a weird curl of hair when it is the same color as it.

Something like this? Though, I don't really know how to make the first attempt earring to look better in gray.

The one on the right is a major improvement. Though I have no idea what you are doing with the one on the left...

Blah you know what I think it was good the way Mav had it before after moving the earring to the left one pixel and not messing with anything else.

Haha, alright well here's the final face, now with the earring before it was moved. Great work though jimmy. Earrings are unexpectedly challenging (which is probably why there are only two standard portraits that have 'em).

The left was mav's redrawn earring, right was the first earring made by mav too.
I like the right one as well, though now mav, the earring looks not connected to his ear. Hmm....

Yeah, the fact that it's not connected to his ear is what got all this nonsense started. Heheh. I'll take another look at it.

EDIT: Alright, I stole the whole ear and earring straight from Balthier, so if there shouldn't be any more problems. If there are...Don't blame me. Blame yourself, or Square.
