Hey everyone, I've decided to try out event editing, but I'm experiencing some problems. I imported the modified TEST.EVT back to the ISO, but I still don't see any change.

I edited the first scene, it should be event script x002 but I don't see any change, when I replaced all instances of the line in the text file with different text I still didn't observe any change. I guess there must have been I problem when I imported the modified events to the ISO, here's what I did:

- I used CDMage to export the TEST.EVT
- I used Zodiac's Event Decompiler to extract the events script, in text format, PSX Events.txt
- I made a few changes to the dialogue in event script x002 (opening scene in Orbonne)
- I ran Zodiac's event compiler, the message it gave said "Instruction data was written from 0x00004000 to 0x000048F8. Text data was written from 0x000048F9 to 0x00004D38".
- I then opened up CDMage, opened up the ISO, located TEST.EVT in CDMAGE, right-clicked it and clicked "Import File". I then selected TEST.EVT, the file appeared to import (there was a bar at the bottom detailing its progress) and I just closed the window.

I've also got a few questions about event editing as well.

Where does it specify the encounter in the ENTD to use for the scene?
Will removing the dummy events in TEST.EVT cause glitches in any way?
How can you be sure you do not overwrite other events while you are editing events?

EDIT: I accidentally posted this in Spriting instead of Help, could someone please move this?

So to actually edit an event you need to copy the event instructions along with the text and event instructions at the top and then all the way down to the last line of dialog. Then paste this into a new file "event.txt". The file "event.txt" is what is actually complied and placed into Test.evt. You can only do one event at a time.

Thanks, I thought it was the 'PSX Events' text file from the decompiler that is compiled. What happens when you try to do two events at a time?
