The AI doesn't seem to know how to use Ambush effectively. It looks as if they're treating it as just target:self instead of having an AoE of 1 centered around them.

FFT: Parted Ways / Re: FFT: Parted Ways Battle Logs

Suck it, Omega.

I'd like to see flat stat growths across the board. It makes your characters more flexible and customisable, and they can freely switch jobs without having to suffer arbitrary repercussions. I think it's in line with PW's principle of encouraging creativity in setups IMO.

Also, if you have the slots to spare, I'd like to see more movement / support skills that give elemental / status resistance. It's a pretty sweet concept, and it's a shame that it's only used on the Elementalists' movement skills.

Just a heads up Et, the Goug Machine City events work with the new script if you use the ShiShi method, i.e. restructure with ShiShi first then patch. I was able to get it working with the last test ppf you sent my way.
10
A few glitches I've found, I've told you most of them, but i'll just post them here with the rest

- Male / Female Harbinger and Male Avatar's sprites are the wrong type
- Vehemence gives +3 Move, Turbo MP gives +2 Move, they're not supposed to give out Move bonuses
- Loads of guns aren't Two-Handed like the description says
- Enlighten has a buggy display, Ramza jumps up in the air and stays there. It's just a display glitch though
- There isn't actually an Archmage's Cloak in Bethla Garrison North Wall
- Beowulf still joins the party as a guest for the Colliery sidequest, his equipment / skills don't carry over to the map though
11
It's a problem with the patch I reckon, because I did it again, loading from the memcard, and I still encountered the same problem. The state didn't give me any problems when I used the fix (with unedited events), so I doubt it's the culprit.

If anyone reading this has the time, could you try it out on your own? You can get a save before the battle here : http://www.fantasyanime.com/finalfantasy/fftactics/fftactics_saves.htm, and you can just FFTastic up the stats to beat Queklain real quick and see whether the event works.
12
Heya guys, PW 0.341 seems to freeze at the screen before entering Chapter 3. I'm uploading the savestate (for pSX, just before delivering the finishing blow to Queklain) and the memcard here.

Anyways, for the setup just use Protect Rings on everyone, Edgar and Marlow as Freelancers w/ Altair, Mustadio w/ Altair, and Lavian to cast moogle or something to heal stuff. Ramza should be a merc so he can equip the ring and hit Quekky and stuff.

I just finished Famicom Detective Club II for the SNES (with the English translation patch, of course) and I found it really awesome. It's sort of like Phoenix Wright, where you go around piecing together a case, but it's much more serious and dark. It's full of suspense, and gets rather touching at times, so I'd recommend you all try it out =P

Here's a review (+ screenshots):

I'm playing Der Langrisser for the first time (with a translation patch) and it's pretty great so far. My main gripe however would be the fact that it seems enemy units almost never attack on their phase, making battles needlessly long. I like the rest of the gameplay though.

D) Snipe them with Throw Stone, then charge in!

Kiku certainly has made an impact on the tournament. 18/64 teams (if I'm counting that right) have Kiku, and that makes up only 28% of teams. However, after each round in the winner's bracket, it steadily increases to 100%. A team with Kikuichimoji wins 85% of the fights with non-Kikuichimoji teams in the Winner's Bracket.

There are significantly less Kiku teams in the Losers' Bracket, however it followed the same pattern as the winner's bracket. It also steadily increases to 100%, and a team with Kikuichimoji wins 81% of the fights with non-Kiku teams in the Losers' Bracket.

Here's a handy chart I cooked up:

So yeah, Kiku teams gradually eliminated non-Kiku teams until they were the only ones left standing, taking them down 83% of the time. I guess it does prove that Kikuichimoji teams dominated the tournament.
18
Whoa, great job with the Loser's Bracket fdc / Piercewise / Gaignun / Wiz, only 3 more matches (out of 126 total) left! =D
