A cult PS1 classic that really deserves a HD remake

This was one of my favourite PS1 games ever since getting the demo. The gameplay itself was quite simplistic, but on high difficulties and especially against human opponents, it became quite frantic and required quick thinking (with the magic system being basically a glorified rock-paper-scissors).

Here's a pretty good clip I found

Yup, those are PS1 graphics. Quite awesome considering its age. I think it would really benefit from a HD re-release on PSN and XBLA, especially considering both consoles are easy to get online.

Alas, what with Koei now only creating dull hack-and-slash games with 'Warriors' somewhere in the title, it's not going to happen.

Which is a shame, when your PS2's laser is a bit dusty so Destrega's one of the THREE discs it can't read, and BC issues make it pretty much unplayable on PS3.

Yeah, or at least upscaled with some more anti-aliasing. I really think a Destrega remake would look awesome visually.

I don't think I have ever heard of this game, except for maybe a demo disk long ago. Looks decent.

I prefer most any FF over 7, except maybe 8, 1, or 2.

Anywho, never heard of it.

I'd like to say I heard of it, but I have not. It looks interesting from the cover though. I must find this game to play it. It looks funny.

I have that game.
This works a bit like rock-paper-scissors has Mental_Gear says.
Much easyer to control that most other dueling games that need many imputs form the controler to use a single move. This game is very simple for using most moves.
For people that like duel games and using magic at the same time, (thus..magic dueling) this IS the game to get.
The game aleardy looks good. A remake of this game in the lastest consoles will be a HIT i tell you.
But guess this will never hapend...

And on modern consoles, it won't sell because it's not an FPS.
