This is my first attempt spriting in the FFT style.

It's got gauntlets with spikes. 8)

Tell me what you think.

It looks pretty good to me, except the spikes(!). At first I thought they were outstretched fingers.
Unfortunately I can't visualize any other way to keep the spikes and have it not not look awkward.
Something about the left leg and waist also looks a little funny.
Colors are puty good.

Yea. I agreed with Madmartigan.
Other than that, i guess it looks fine.
Kindly upload the images to other image hosting sites. I can't view imageshack. Thanks.

The design itself looks pretty good. I would take a look at chapter 2 Ramza's shoulder spikes to get a better idea of how to do them. Definitely don't have the spikes be white though because they will just always stick out like a soar thumb.

Very good advice. Thank you Cheetah.

Waist is paper thin, bangs too straight, spikes (as mentioned), that thick 2 pixel neck line thingy..

Otherwise fine.

The two pixel line was on the base i used for this character, which was Valmrafra... SO I assumed it belonged.

As hot as perfection can be, alot of those things are unoticable in actual game size. if your comfortable with it the way it is now, i suggest doing a few more frames like it is, and get a better feel for how you want it to look. if you wish to change it, go back and do so, but just one frame can kinda make a whole sprites impression seem less impacted.

The only thing on it i dont like is the spikes. a bit more depth and it should be fine. a bit grey and an extra shaded pixel under them might do nicely as well.

This is far better then my first attempt, and even some of the shit i put into SoR now xD
