Good idea to reuse the wall effect for an ice spell. It's not like anyone used it anyway.
Agreed. there are a few others i need to redo and organize. some of them just dont fit what im using them for...maybe a recolor or two would make them fit, but most need a huge overhaul.
Get some epic music to play in the background if you have not already.
All in all it looks great but the text is slightly corny.

Dude sorry, but this is horrible. The text has such dreadful contrast with the background and that stuff written in the top right is cheesy and only barely makes any sense. Am I embracing rage or just the fear of it I don't even know. It doesn't need to be there whatever it is. The font sucks. Just sucks. Looking at it you get the feeling you've seen it everywhere; it is to fonts what the colours black and red are to amateur character design. Im sure you can find a better one somewhere. There is an actual Final Fantasy font you know.

What is that black swirl on the bottom right? It looks shapeless and obscure. Pick something well-defined and don't reach for so much. There are far too many elements in this title screen and come to think of it, what, even, is that red thing? Maybe it's something but I can't tell because the image has no clarity whatsoever. Look at the normal Final Fantasy covers. They are minimal and they look much better for it. If you want to make anything more complicated than that you have to think harder about composition. Don't just stick some text in opposite corners; it looks really haphazard and amateur. Try not to make "Symbols of Rage" look like it is behind the foreground text (new game, continue etc). Have you seen Zodiac's title screen? He makes it look seamless.
the FF font isn't perfect. You'd have to touch up some letters but it's a good enough start.

To be honest, the quality of that picture is quite horrible.
Post in PNG full quality. Even if it loads slowly for me having dial-up, quality has no price especially when you want people to comment on something like this.
As for the image itself, I can see that you used way too different colors... Red + Black is fine, but then you add Yellow and Blue? Definitely not win. Stay into the same range of colors. The text location is also extremely weird.
And to be honest, your blue text is more filling up than anything else because I doubt you can do something nice while keeping it... simply too much text.

This hurts my eyes to look at it. The menu text is nice and clear and the image looks blurry, the image text is huge and looks like it about to fall off at the edges making my brain think its both really really close and also far enough away that I can't focus on it and the menu text at the same time. >_<

Yellow and blue arent intentional, photoshop is finicky with transparencies when switching the R and B, it made my text magenta at first :/
The symbol in the middle is...well just that, its a symbol. it has no significant meaning without the storyline yet~
The image looks all blurry and things cause of the way the image is blown up to fit the screen. the image is 240x320... teh screen is double that size, it looks so much better out of game.
we already agreed asmo, text is cheesy, its going to be removed.

The first one, title 2, is how you have to import it into the game.
The only thing I would suggest is moving the title "Symbols of Rage" up higher. It looks really awkward under the "new game; continue; tutorial; sound" stuff...
