What he said. You forgot about the amazingly subtle and awesome new hardcoded additions of Onion Knight, Dark Knight and Balthier(Barrage FTW!)

On this note, my most absolute favourite thing to do in WotL is to give Balthier an elemental gun and have him use Barrage! You would never get the chance to look at those animations in such beautiful slow motion 4 times in a row in the psx version...
