Here we go...

The plan is to have all items with Absorb: Element to also have Half: Element. What this does basically is halves all absorb. To get 100% healing from that element, you would need to be Weak: Element, from other items or Band of Elements or whatever. This removes Weak + Absorb completely.

If there is any reason why you don't like this, please post reasons why.

This is more to nerf Salty Rage than anything else. Just choose what you want to happen to Berserk. You can choose more than 1 option. I think all these are possible.

EDIT: Don't be a retard and vote options 3 and 4 at the same time, or something similar.

I better explain this one. Say for example, in FFTPatcher, you have a spell with CT = 3. Normally, Short Charge will halve it, and round up, meaning that the spell is now CT = 2. With this small hex edit, Short Charge will now round down, so the spell is now CT = 1(cast as soon as everyone who has 100 speed has had a turn). As a special case, a spell with original CT = 1 + Short Charge + this hack will be effectively a spell with Non-Charge, since the CT is now 0. So if you really want to use this, remember this special case.

Help! / Trying to edit Charging status damage bonus

Honestly, I have no idea what I am doing. I wish the logs of LD's lessons helped me, but all they really did was give me links to programs. Is there any way I can find the offsets for Charging status, and be able to edit the bonus damage to whatever I wanted? Either that, or a link to other ASM tutorial guides would be helpful.

Zodiac gave an interesting idea. Instead of limiting everything to 2, limit everything to 1.

In other words, no 2 units can have the same ability or item. This is possible due to the job unlock system we are using, and the fact that a lot more items are viable. Personally, I am on the fence about this. On one hand, it forces the player to make unique units instead of copy/pasting (like my teams for example) but on the other hand, it feels too restrictive.

This is just a thread to discuss this change. Nothing will happen (yet) whether you agree or not.

GENERAL MECHANICS
- Oil no longer adds weakness to elements. IMPORTANT NOTE: Units with Absorb Element that is inflicted with Oil will become weak to said element. This was an oversight and will likely be patched next version.
- There are a lot of backend changes in this version, namely my own version of the item attribute extend hack. This means that the ISO can no longer be opened in FFTPatcher. Instead, I have included the .fftpatch and my own table for the extra attributes. The included table can be used for other patches, however I highly suggest nobody do so. The new item attributes will override job data, so if you are brave/stupid enough like me, you can be careful.
- Due to the above noted changes, some features of the memcardgen will not work, such as being able to calculate proper resistances/immunities. Also, when making Mimes, you will get constant red error messages.

FFT Arena / Thief skillset

Well, since Archer has its own thread, I decided it was time Thief got one as well. This question has been bugging us (me, PX and Aero) for quite some time now. Thief's skillset is at this point completely outclassed by Knight, meaning the only ability it has is Steal Heart =/ We really need new abilities for Thief, or maybe even throw out Thief completely (I would rather not have to do that).

Got any ideas guys?

FFT Arena / Base Move and Move+X

People are really unhappy with this change. Should it go back to 1.3 or is there another way we can do this?

Background info
Back in the 1.3 tournaments, pretty much everyone and their mother ran move+X as their movement ability. Nobody used shoes for +movement, and Aero suggested to move everything to 2/3 move and reduce spell ranges to compensate. He also removed move+X, saying that it would be far too powerful under 2/3 move, and that it would take away from Battle Boots/Germinas Boots.

Mafia is a game of team survival. Every day, you must vote 1 person to lynch. The person who has the most votes will die. During the night, a few people may have special abilities (eg. Mafia can kill, Bodyguard can protect someone, etc.). The game is finished when one of the three factions are the only ones left remaining.

When the game starts everyone will get a PM from me. An example:
Dear MagiTek,
You are the really annoying guy.
You are allied with the Italian Mafia.

You are able to piss off anybody who comes near you. Every night, you may pick 2 people. Those 2 people MUST choose to lynch you.

You win if the Italian Mafia wins.

RULES
-Dead people do not talk. Unless I say you can.
-This game starts on NIGHT 0. You may use any abilities, except for killing. This gives everybody a chance to do something.
-Screenshotting is not allowed. This way, you can lie as much as you want. This also includes faking your role PM.
-Don't purposefully ruin the game.
-Please label all night ability PM's. EG. Night 5 - Bodyguard <name here>
-All roles will randomized via RNG.

If anybody is interested, please post. If there are enough people who want to play, I will think up of something like FFT Mafia or something a lot of people would know.

Yep - its Oppai Pudding or "Niigata Bust Pudding." At the top of the box its got "The Secret Pudding" in Japanese and at the bottom of the box it says (in English) "Only who knows this taste can really appreciate it."

Upon opening up the box, you are greeted with a nice 2D girl  with a huge bra. Shes saying "Please eat it gently and kindly."

Anybody excited about this? For those who don't know, its a convention where lots of Doujin soft/manga and merchandise gets sold.

Personally, I'm looking forward to Touhou 12, Touhou 12.3, Cirno Racing and the expansion to Touhou Unreal Mahjong.

Related to Doujin soft, anybody else hoping for a PC port of Melty Blood Actress Again? And any release dates for the Tsukihime remake? I heard its coming out this year, but I don't know when.

Kinda makes me worried about FFH. Projects there have been going for quite a while though, and since the recent release of CTDS, I guess Square finally got off their asses and stopped them.

I know a few people here who still play Wc3, and I would rather they know about the bytecode exploit.

This map is harmless. All it does is open command prompt and displays some text for you to read. To run the map, just download it and run the map in windows mode or alt+tab once the map is loaded to see the effects.

UPDATE:
It seems this exploit can only occur in versions 1.22 and 1.23. If you wish to still play Wc3, you should find a private server that uses 1.21. That or wait for 1.24. Blizzard knows that this bug exists at least.

Ok. I've decided to make a kind of tutorial for setting up and battling level 35 units.

WORLD DEBUG
First off, we should make sure PEC works. If you are on Vista, run it in administrator mode, or you will not be able to save custom codes. Go to file -->user database and enter these codes in

and save your database. Open ePSXe and set your video plugin as psx emulation cheater 2.5 and configure it. From there, run FFT (any version will do) and load up your save. In PEC, click the "Send cheats to plugin" and set the cursor to "Move" up the top. The cursor should then move past the menu and be right underneath it, pointing at nothing. Press circle (or whatever confirm is) and you should see 001. The number is the map number. Use only maps from 001 to 116 (minus a few in between somewhere, I forget which ones). The other ones can cause crashes and are glitchy. Set up your units and let them run!



FFTastic
If all that is working, it is time to edit some units. I suggest you make the units on a separate memory card. Copy the memory card you use for FFT, rename it and set it to slot 2. From there open MemCardRex. Find your new memory card, open it, and save it as a .gme.

If all that worked, open the .gme in FFTastic. If you are running Vista, you may have to run it in administrator mode. Once your .gme is opened, find the save file you are planning to edit. You shouldn't mess around with Ramza, since I've caused the game to crash before. Anyway, you can edit their class, gender, zodiac, stats, Brave/Faith, Level, Exp, skills/JP and items in here. I highly suggest you do items and abilities in FFT itself, since the edits could mess up. In other words, activate the 99 items option in FFTastic, make/edit your unit, and click for them to unlock and have 9999 JP for all jobs.

Now for the most tedious bit. You can't trust the stats for FFTastic, since it uses the old growths. Instead, you need to work out the raw values for the stats. This can be done using 454Casull's spreadsheet. Just input the growth and starting base value and find the level 35 raw value. Copy and paste that value for the corresponding stat in FFTastic. Do the same for all the stats.

Once we are done, save the .gme and convert it back to .mcr. Load up the file in FFT again. This time you should use 1.3 (or whatever you are doing this for). Instead of the name Ramza, the name should be FFTastic. Check the stats just to make sure. Equip and learn the skills you need. Save your game again.

There is a CLF of raw stats for ALL GENERICS with 1.3 growths attached at the bottom of this post. All you need to do is edit Zodiac sign, Brave and Faith in FFTastic. Just buy the abilities and equip them and you are set!

It seems the CLF does not work on older versions, so I suggest you just use the one linked above (ie. version 1.44).
