Bloodthirster, their hair is supposed to look the same. The Knight is the Upgraded version of the Fighter/Warrior from FF1 and FF3. Its kinda the point of them, to look the same in the hair.

Yeah, probably. I'll work on it a little. Next time I update, they'll have portraits.

Okay guys, taking into account that no matter what I'm changing the hair; which fighter has the best colors?

5, Zalge.
4 is acceptable too, with the change of hair, of course.
And the boot is not bad too, the pattern ^^

#4, but the things you're calling pants are actually big knee pads. Those are the legs from the Squire, right? Have a look at the back frames and the walking frames. The actual pants are black. It was a hassle for me when I did my Squire x Fighter hybrid.

I like the very last one the most. The belts you used for the Squire variations are a little misshapen. There is a bulge around the middle thats supposed to be a pouch or something on  the squire. If you want the belt to look even you'll have to shave off a couple of pixels. Also, you hit the light colours way too hard and it's causing some contrast issues. The actual squire belt is quite dark barring a handful of pixels where it pokes out from under the armour enough to be in the light. With yours, theres more of the lightest colour, and the second lightest isn't much lighter. So the belt ends up looking quite flat and much too vibrant and there's no sense that it wraps around or sits under anthing. To a lesser extent this also affects the boots. I could be way off here but it looks like you pinched the 3 lightest colours from the squire armour and barring a couple of pixels, this accounts for all of the palette on both the belt and boots. You need to add a darker shade to these white objects, or adjust the palette accordingly. You especially need this for the headband on the last one. At the moment its looks like of nebulous in the small view since theres no dark enough shade to demarcate it properly from his head.

I just want you guys to know, I've almost completed the Knight's spritesheet, but I need to finish the heads and the portrait. Also, I need a couple of questions answered.

You guys know about the mark on the normal knight, should I get rid of it or recolor it?

Also, the shoulder pads would be hell to edit onto the knight. Between the Cape and the Arms, it would be really hard work to get the shoulder pads on there and to look right. Would you guys mind if I just took that part out?

The shoulder pads look good, but if they're a bitch to deal with you know what to do: scrap 'em. And as for the mark, I'm assuming you mean on the cape, right? If so, yeah, get rid of it.

are these supposed to be 2 separate units?

#1 in first row and #3 in second row should be knights, two palettes of the same sprite

cleric looks good but it reminds me too much of priest...

That's looking good. The portrait is not bad at all. Of course need some shadings for the helmet but overall, it looks good ^^

EDIT: You can take a look at Mercenaries. I did a helmet knight too ^^

Hmm...You might wanna darken the thing around his head and widen it a bit. Right now it doesn't look like it's getting the correct amount of light and it's kinda reminiscent of a tiara. I know what you're going for and I think you'll have a pretty good handle on it by the end of things. Though why are you already starting the portrait? Is the sprite nearing completion or something?

Well, once I change the hair on the rest of the sprite... yeah. The sprite will be done. All I had to do was recolor most of the knight. I mean, I should probably make the reds less saturated... but... yeah. The hair is the only thing left on the sprite.

I'll try to make the tiara/helmet/metal thingy bigger, but I think I'll do that tomorrow >< I'm too sleepy to do anything right now.
