PSP FFT: WotL Animation Slowdown?

Heyas, I'm experiencing a problem. I do my edit thing in FFT Patcher then I patch the PSP Rom but when I load up the ROm on PPSSPPWindows64 and play the game it slows down to a crawl whenever a special battle animation skill plays (aka Duskblade or Hallowed Bolt and such). Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

WotL simply naturally has spell slowdown. Don't ask me why Square did it.
