well... I don't agree with the delaying time ( I know it's a joke, relax) because everyone that asks never get a factual answer about the developing of the game itself just a "it's going well"
I understand both sides but come on give the ones who ask about the way the project is heading a little bit peace they are just urging to play the ch. 2 ASAP. xD

I give everything thats asked and more without spoilers. Theres nothing more I can say in general without spoilers and no one asks specific questions. When someone asks how Ch2 is coming, the answer is, it's coming along nicely. What info would you like?

Yep, I'm not helping anymore until you update your shit man. Done told ya about that enough times already. You're using outdated commands and it just makes the event harder for me to read.

Seriously, it takes two seconds to go download the new EVSP, there is literally no reason for you to not have done so

Ugh - yeah I should do the config thing - is that what's causing the looping?

I'm finding event editing to be really irritating. It seems so random in when it works and when it doesn't - as I have done the same types of alterations in other scenes with zero issues (Interrogation, Yuguo Woods, Araguay Woods). Yet here, this looping makes zero sense to me.

Anyhow - sometimes when someone says "they give up" they should make that final. Which is my case specifically. I tried the offset and using a 90+ number and the same looping occurred.

Clearly I just do not understand or grasp how the coding works for this games events. So I am sorry for bothering you guys. I should stick to modding PC games where I have found much more success.


Ooookay, dude, first off, you did not do what I mentioned and remove the text offset.

I've coded over 200 events from scratch (more than any one person at Square ever did for FFT) and I can tell you they are 100% not random. If it doesn't work, its because you did something wrong.

Now, remove the Text Offset line and try again...

Also, go download EVSP 2.0, can't answer questions if you are using outdated material

Try removing the text offset (as you should be doing anyway per my tutorial...)

And don't use ID 85... Thats an enemy ID, use something in the 90's

You can import and export them in the newest version of shishi, which can be found in the newest FFTP Suite on the wiki. Alternatively you can import and export them with Evtchrview.exe, which should also be on the wiki

To shed some light on this. I'm pretty sure that my old ass eventing tutorial still has a link to 1.9 or 1.91, which would contain the old config (even though my tutorial specifically says to get the new config)

I'll fix that today after a nap.

It's going well. Not sure what else I could spoil without hurting the experience.

Lijj is working on some new Time Mage sprites to replace the weird hat bros (new version concepts by Twinees)

Nyzer is still knocking out Marks and such for Ch2 and i think may be into Ch3 marks by now.

I resigned from the position I was working, and am taking a few months off work, and in that time i plan to catch up on mod stuff. My resignation was in effect as of last friday.

ok i removed all sentinel heads and added ramza but now when i add him to my modded game his colors are all wacked or hes very bright......now after i changed his portrait and formation battle everything disappeared only shadows show up and where name is and job name that is all blank not picture no nothing! can some one please tell me what i did wrong?
theres what ive done to te sentinel, all i did was add Ramzas head.. didnt change color or nothing and ive added pics of the formation and portrait...... i just dont see what im doing wrong

First thing you did wrong was not give credits for what you've used... That is the Jot5 Ramza portrait.

shouldnt be an issue. The first sheet was made by Pride IIRC and Xif made some edits to it to allow to activate variable, but yeah it just breaks down the string for you so you dont have to math lol. Ill find and upload that one for ya tomorrow.

Adding to all towns should be fine

This is the version from TLW, so it contains data for the new rumors added by WotL, but you can remove those 4 or 5 or however many and replace with whatever you want. If you need a version that can also activate a variable upon reading, i have that version as well, id just need to remove the Jot5 data from it

We created a ton of new ones for Jot5. There is a unreleased spreadsheet that you need. Send me a PM so I can remember to send it to you after work.

UPDATE:
  • New Face Layout.  ATTACK.OUT Editor Special Awesome now uses the same basic layout for windows as EasyVent Editor Super Perfect 2.0.
  • Bug with using ENTD 1FD-1FF fixed.
  • Bug with active window not updating when loading from .XML/.OUT fixed.
  • Now Supports Right-Click.
  • Now Supports Keyboard Shortcuts. These match the ones used by EasyVent Editor Super Perfect 2.0 where possible.
  • Saving and Loading logic is now similar to EasyVent Editor Super Perfect 2.0
  • Now uses a .XML Directory folder to store .XML files, and can load / save .XMLs named by the user for easier organization.
  • Now can load any .OUT file from the .OUT Directory to populate itself with data from an ATTACK.OUT instead of using the hackish ATTACK.OUT DUMP.txt method.
  • Stability improvements.

Awesome, good job, I'll play with it this weekend.
