Not yet. That is the reason Im asking all my questions first. To know if what I have in mind is doable. The rest, well, everybody has the right to have an opinion. And regarding tje rooster, making of fun of somebody who makes a grammar mistake while not writing in his mother language is not a nice gesture. At least I know I dont make fun of people trying to speak my language.

Anything is doable if you work at it long enough have enough dedication, but due to the track record of people on this site, I don't help anyone until they show they can at least do -something-

It will accomplish the porpouses of my project. Alicia an Lavian are useless generics. This way I can give them a new class but as a guest only and let them be more useful. Rad will accompany Ramza since is one of the new clases that needs to be in the field. Also this will allow to have more room for the roster since the PSX is a bit limited even with the rooster hack.

Have you even learned to event yet?

As long as you give them specific unit IDs and have them join as guest, you should be able to simply dismiss them via event command in whatever event you like.

The main issue (As Xif just mentioned on IRC) is that, being as they are generic units you have no way to save the guest data after battles and then load it into other battles, unless they have unique IDs and you are manually placing them in all the story battles, in which case you are gonna have a bad time with the sprite limit... so it wouldn't really be very effective at achieving something that doesn't work very derp like

If the file size doesnt match then you didnt do it correctly. Her video tutorial shows you exactly how to do this by adding zero bytes via a hex editor. You cannot skip a part of the tutorial and expect it to work.

There is no way to do this automatically, this is stuff you HAVE to learn if you want to mod, since this is about the simpliest of the simple stuff there is. It's only going to get more difficult from here, (unless you plan to just use FFTP to change some job stuff or something, which a 5 year old could do)

The labels do appear to be different when I load up the PSX version of the game.  Also not really sure I see it where I would look in order to find that in the program. I'm sadly not too good at navigation. x_x

The ENTD number should be the same in the PSX version vs the PSP version for that event

The opening is likely not the battle itself. I redid all the ENTD names a few years back for FFTP, but im not sure if those names were reflected in the WotL files or not.

There are other factors as well, IIRC one of the displayconditions is required in the event in order for joinup to work? it might not be that exactly, but i know there was a factor i had to work out in events for characters to have a JoinUp without it being a battle with a proper congratulations and war trophies screen.

Thank you VERY much. This is going to make play throughs rather interesting. Heck, in some cases, it even makes sense, like if I want Gaffgarion after the Lional Gate fight.

You'd need to edit the attack.out to make his death not a condition or the conditional event to not crystalize him though. I can't honestly see how it makes sense, given his stance and i don't think Ramza will be paying him to join up, but im not here to judge ideas, just correct misconceptions.

No one makes events or ASMs for the PSP version of the game, though it's possible, those of us who do things, just, don't. I'd be happy if you'd prove me wrong though.

Remove the EVTCHR animation from that frame and change that frame to animation 24 in the event coding.

I understand, and thank you for your kind words. We are still working on some things, but we hope to have both, the Re-release of Ch1, as well as Ch2, out at the same time, once that time comes :)

Yes, I'm laughing at you, because he has just as much to do with this mod as I do. Co leader actually DOES imply that he is the author of this mod, just as I am. The fact that I made the original post bares no relevance on who the project is run by.

But, I see we will not agree. Everyone else here seems to understand what was actually going on, just not you. I simply stated that I did not think you read the threads pertaining to the two mods in question, which has clearly proven true.

I started the project and ported all events. Raven did all the world map and attack.out work, Xifanie setup NG+ and Angel did the title movie and the psp to PSX text. This is all in this thread...
