Title: FFT:WotL Patch on hacked Vita
Post by: MaxATK on June 27, 2019, 09:39:55 am
I'll try and keep this as short as possible and I apologize if this was already answered(I did some searching, but I may have missed it). I am very new to hacking/homebrew. I just finished installing the Trinity hack for my Vita and have downloaded and installed HENkaku and VitaShell on my newly hacked Vita.

I am trying to go about patching WotL to remove the slowdown, but I am unsure where to go from here. I am aware that patching the PSN version of the game is not an option, but I have been seeing a few different things suggested and am not sure what the best course of action would be. A lot of people are suggesting installing Adrenaline(the PSP emulator) and grabbing and ISO and patching it and going that route, but I see other people saying that isn't necessary.

Being new to this scene, I am just having a hard time sifting through all the info and figuring out what is legit and what isn't. So would getting Adrenaline be the easiest/least painful/only way to go about patching WotL and play on my Vita? Or are there other ways to do it? I'm on Vita firmware 3.70, so I'm assuming I would need to downgrade.

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Hi. I know its been a long time since u asked. But i just manage to do it myself right now and want to tell u how i did.
I think so, you have to go with adrenaline on a modded ps vita, and since you are already running adrenaline and vitashell theres no need to change any of that.
-i have the adrenaline version 6.9. (idk about the other versions)
- download the patch here: https://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=8490.0 (u want to download wotl-patches and livepatch 0.1.3 debug). unzip these files. put the "fftpsp" folder inside the "livepatch 0.1.3 (debug)" one.
-now inside your ps vita (using vitashell to comunicate to the pc) go to pspemo folder and put the livepatch folder there.
-create a folder named seplugins (on pspemo), insite seplugins create a txt file with the name of game.txt.
-insite the txt archive put the directions to livepatch.prx (starting with . If you didnt rename anything it should be: "ms0:/LivePatch 0.1.3 (Debug)/livepatch/livepatch.prx 1"
Now open the emulator and the game and it should work fine. It worked with my in progress save data aswell.

Well... Thats all i did.
