Title: CHANGING BGM SOUNDTRACK
Post by: Taichii on February 04, 2012, 01:59:33 am
hey guys.. i have an idea but i have not tested it yet..
im currently downloading legends of mana and if this idea is successful,
i will use cdprog to open the iso file of legends of mana and rip the sound..

i hope that they are in smd file too as i have researched that other iso game files have smd files on their iso.
if this is correct then no convertion would take process .. just extract (save as < name of sound file> ?) then insert
:D

will test it out this evening :D

oh sorry XD didn't know where to post it :D anyway..
i would love to hear your opinions on this. :D

EDIT: i ripped legends of mana soundtrack..
its a .dat file i will search tomorrow if there's a .smd-.dat file converter

EDIT:
from my research..
.dat can be converted into iso.
and .smd can be turned into bin then iso..
if the two both meet extractions at the same point on iso maybe that would be a way into sound swapping. but its not direct though :)
haven't tried it yet. can't get on the desktop.
