Hello. I am trying to play the patched version for the PSP. But i keep on getting the 'cannot load game error 80020001'  I'm sure i patched it up correctly and i'm using the original cso where i converted it into iso...and such.

I have a psp slim, its currently running v3.90 m-33 i believe. So my question is, what version CFW am i suppose to be using?

I doubt it's the CFW you're using that's the problem. 3.90 M33 is fine.

Make sure you've changed the UMD ISO mode to "M33 Driver" or "Sony NP9660". On the XMB, just press select and the menu should come you where you can change it. Or you can go to the Recovery Menu (Hold R while the PSP is booting up) > Configuration > UMD Mode. Change it to M33 Driver or Sony NP9660.

Hope this helps.

Like he said this error happened to me when I forgot to change the driver.

yeah, unfortunately, that doesnt work either.  and i dont know exactly whats the problem.  I have the original .cso extracted the iso, ran the iso before the patch and it works, ran the iso after the patch and i get the 80020001 error.  i've tried the two modes you suggested.  arrgg arrrggg

anymore suggestions on what the issue could be?  =]

anything would help!

thanks guys

Not positive about this but check that your kernels are the 3.whatever option.  If not there might be a problem with your ISO or patch.
