Don't forget about JP cost (500? vs 180).

I'm using a Mime! :D

Oh, Skip, if you're using Cursed Rings, there goes Plan A for my team. (Lich)

I'm saving my Lore + Speed Save team for the 'real' tournament. :3
Unfortunately, something tells me Lore will be changed by then...

Unless it's 100% hit like in 1.3. Which I assume is the case.

Damned: Do keep in mind that Lancer MA is garbage. Holy will add around another ~30 damage. Maybe even less.

On a similar note, we could also bump up Coral Sword's WP.
Power Wrist is outclassed by both Bracer and Battle Boots. Heck, Battle Boots is a bit too good. Extra move, power, and survivability(ish). Maybe give the Boots' 15% evasion to Power Wrist?
We could make one of the useless shields Absorb: Earth, Weak: Lightning to fit that 'cycle.'
Flash Hat having less HP than Cachusha and Barette feels weird. Understandable, just feels weird.
Why is Cursed Ring banned? Being Undead is a pretty harsh drawback...
For some of the currently banned armors, you could just give them crap HP, like Thief Hat/Flash Hat.

Although most of the discussion about FF12 International is a few months old, I've recently started playing it and am loving it! Just got to Phon Coast. The speed up feature is simply awesome. It's also a nice way for me to learn Japanese (when I'm patient enough to do so >_>).

I'll have to play DQ8 eventually, too. I think I'm around the same area you're at, philsov. I think. It's been a while. I got stuck at Dhoulmagus and sorta just stopped.

Damned: Just play Pauper (commons only) or Casual. And wait for cards to rotate out of Standard so they (hopefully) get cheaper.
Vamp: The Eldrazi are expensive =/. I mean yes, you can ramp up and stuff, but one lone Eldrazi won't do much against a board full of guys and you're at low life.
philsov: There still is a ton of strategy involved. Lots of decisions - should I counter this now/use a removal spell, why did he attack a 1/1 into my 4/4, etc. There are so many more (and likely better) examples of tough decisions out there.
Speaking of decisions, drafting is great. Since you're building your deck from scratch, you have to make lots of decisions to build a good deck, and then you have to play it! It's a lot of fun and a great way to play competitively or casually without needing to spend too much money.

I really like to play, but recently I haven't been feeling the urge to build decks. Although, this last week I built this really fun (to play as, not so much fun to play against) toolbox deck. Cephalid Illusionist + Shuko to mill library, Krosan Reclamation for Battlefield Scrounger -> get it into play, stack your deck. Deal with threats accordingly, get Solitary Confinement out, win. Probably my strongest deck.
It seems like for every one decent deck I build, I end up building like five garbage ones. But it's still fun. :D

Another fun way to play is Elder Dragon Highlander (EDH).

Oh, speaking of slivers, Dormant Sliver -> lots of slivers -> play them, including Frenetic Sliver -> get rid of your Dormants so you can attack ftw.

Archives / Re: [Job] Elementalist
April 29, 2010, 12:37:27 am
Quote from: "PLob218"I agree that this job is pretty weak. It feels very much like a job that is meant to be outgrown as you move on to better, more interesting ones. Contrast this with the physical tree, where Squire remains an extremely useful job/skill set even after the rest of the tree opens up. There's no reason to go back to being an Elementalist unless you still need "Magic Attack UP" (which was a lackluster ability for me anyway...).

I disagree. I used this job in every battle. Granted, Ilya starts as an Elementalist, but after I got some new recruits, one became an Elementalist right away. My main complaint with the class is Wind Blow. Feels like too little damage for too much MP.

This is really unique and interesting idea. I like it.

For Mime, they'd have to be pretty good at everything, so good/great growths all around? Similar to 1.3/Vanilla's Mime growths.

How about a low% (10-20%, maybe?) charm everyone on the field? Potentially absurdly powerful, but losing control of your own characters, however temporarily, would be awful.
Note: charming someone on your own team is like setting auto-battle for that character. They'll still fight for you, but you can't control them.

The two main problems I have with winter:
1. Cold feet.
2. Short days.
Other than that it's alright. Probably the one good thing about winter is that it's not too hot when I walk home from school.
