I like the concept of an Auron sprite, but the colors are really saturated. Maybe use an existing shade of red if this is your first sprite, and go from there. Also, how many colors are the portrait?

It actually shows a lot of potential!
The palette can be changed pretty easily XD0097. Just reduce the saturaion on certain colors.

Can we see the portrait in it's normal color glory?

He didn't make the sprite and it's not NEW. This is one of the japanese sprites from along time ago,
but if he is trying to fix it that would be awesome

There is a whole pack of these kind of sprites somewhere in the very old pages of the spriting section.
I can upload the rest of them if anyone wants to work on them?

He just put it together, it originally looked like this

Auron has a bit too many fine details. Also to add to what Elric42 and GeneralStrife said:

I personally hope you posted this with the intention of working on it to improve it now that you pieced the 2 parts of the Japanese sprite together. Otherwise I suggest you say that it is from the japanese people and let the topic die because I highly doubt someone is suddenly going to take up working on the sprite.

Aside from this, if you want to improve it do these things.
1. Start by browning/graying down some of the colors they are too bright (saturated) aka they 'glow' too much
2. Improve shading details on the pants/back/hair
3. Reshape some of the face, it looks too odd for a FFT character.
4. Rework the shoulders, he is way too muscular.

i plan on making a FFX based patch but need some help finding sprites and editors
