He looks very brutish, I like the hair though. It needs some work, so keep at it; there's nothing more fun that working on portraits for Mercenaries.

I made it softer as a whole. How's it now?

still too pixely the concept is good but there's something very off with those eyes and neck line

I *kinda* edited Effephoenix's portrait work:

changes:
-fixed some shadings to lessen the "pixely part"
-cut down to 16 colors, fixed some coloring
-normalized the eyes, plus made the expression more visible.
-made it more unique by adding scars. :P

-I am planning to change his eye color!

He looks like a guy who would be a tough guy without a care for magic and the like

Yeah I got such feeling too, maybe add something conected to magic? Maybe horn, just like summoners had.

No, no horn... actually... is it possible to give them a very.... Balmafula-like calm look on the portrait? That's what I see these people as. More Warrior-Celtic society, which is how I saw the class from the start.
"Moment's anger can revert to joy,
sadness can be turned to delight.
A nation destroyed cannot be restored,
the dead brought back to life."

Heh, the scars make him look like a tiger. I'd try my hand on this portrait, but it looks like you have a pretty decent handle on things.

You mean LD that they should be quiet-cool-strong type? Well that wouldn't be bad for that amigo.

my reasoning? they look bad and don't fix the original problems present in the portrait

it just adds more problems

The shades Mike used were better, so I just used those and calmed down the expression.
