We are going to need a few things to edit Arazlam's speech.
First you will need Shishi, this is included in FFTPatcher.
Second you will need a graphics editing program, I use photoshop.
Third dl the alignment files.

Section 1: Basic Operation - Dumping the speech

Step 1
If you open Shishi and select your ISO you will see this

We want to go to Other Images.

Step 2
From Other Images we want to use the drop down to select OPNTEX3

Step 3
You should export OPNTEX3 so that you have a backup in case something terrible happens.

Step 4
Repeat Steps 2 and 3, but select OPNTEX4

You have successfully exported Arazlam's speech.

Section 2: Moving on - Editing the speech

We will be working in tif and gif format.
For best results do not assign a color profile to these documents.

Step 1
Open up Speech Part 1

Notice the green lines, your text must fit within these borders.
Notice the numbering, the speech is out of order, the numbering tells you where each line falls.

Step 2

Open up Speech Part 2

The lining and numbering follow the same pattern here.

Step 3
You must type in white.
Colors will not show up in the text.  (Actually they will show up as some shade of grey)
Black is transparent on this layer.
Grey varies in transparency.

Step 4
Type your story!
This is where you need to use your creativity!
Follow the numbering and borders and you should be fine.

Step 5
Saving is important now.
Don't forget to hid layers you don't want to use.  Such as the numbering and borders.
Save a .tif version with layers, this will allow you to go back to the file at any time to edit any part that you may have messed up on.

Save a .gif version.  This is the one we are going to import to the game.  You will see several options here, you can try tinkering with them, but I find they cause artifacts and unwanted results.

Repeat this for both files.

You are now ready to import the files.

Section 3: Importing the speech

Step 1
Back in Shishi, we will need to once again open the ISO and navigate to Other Images.

Step 2
Navigate again to OPNTEX3

Step 3
Click Image and select import, then navigate to where you saved your .gif and open it.

Repeat for OPNTEX4

You're done.  Your new speech is now imported to the game.
