Just wanted to say it is nice to still see progress being made on this great mod, despite the re-release snag (such a bummer to hear). However, just like the last 2 years I will continue to support what you guys do here and will keep waiting patiently until Ch1 makes its reappearence. Im sure it will be worth the wait.

Hmm maybe there might be motive to help Ramza out in some form, in order to assist Olan w/out Delita or his guard knowing about it. Who knows though lol, she is a witch afterall, I wouldn't put it past her to know about dimensional portal stones and devil triggers, but highly unlikely. She's still intriguing though.

Probably completely wrong since I see no motive to do anything the stranger has done but wonder what happened to Balmafula since being seen at the "funeral".

I learned my lesson long ago to keep all status protection equipment with the likes of CĂșchulainn/Queklain, Celia and Lede making my life a living hell.

Just something I came up with over the last hour, tried to go ahead and take a shot at a solid sequence battle.

A Hunted Heretic

A note is left to ""Duke Seymour of Lionel"..since that is what you liked to be called now", and it appears the author knows of Ramza's true identity. The note clearly states that he has been looking for Ramza for quite awhile and has at last found him, but to avoid unnecessary commotion, he wishes to meet Ramza alone at Poeskas Lake to test his mettle and collect the bounty still on the heretic's head. He even states he will share how he became aware of this information upon defeat to further entice Ramza into heading forward alone. 

Location of Mark: Zarghidas Trade City
Location of Battle: Poeskas Lake

Battle 1
Difficulty: Hard/Very Hard

Enemies: Paladin (Knight/Vanilla Knight/Dark Knight sprite?) 
Name: Hadrian
Conditions: 1 vs 1, Defeat Enemy: Ramza vs Hadrian

(Just some ideas)
-Both Ramza/Hadrain affected by a trap to inflict Haste (Will explain why below)
-Uses Great Sword, Innate Maintenance, HP Restore
-Primary Skills: Oath Sword (Holy Sword: Stasis Sword/Split Punch) (Magic Sword: Innocent/Shock)
-Secondary Skills: White Magic (Cures/Regen/Reraise/Wall)
-Reaction Skill: Damage Split
-Support Skill: Two Hands
-Movement Skill: Ignore Height

Opens up with a Split Punch to try to inflict Death Sentence, Haste trap can potentially speed this up, or it can be used to your advantage.
Innocent to negate Heals and/or Magic use on Hadrian, relying on items instead
Innate HP Restore to make the 1 on 1 battle more intense, having to land a killing blow without sending Hadrain into critical
Battle ends on Hadrians defeat, leading to battle 2


Just as Ramza defeats Hadrian in a one on one battle, Hadrian reveals his "Plan B" per say and surrounds Ramza and his friends not long after the rest arrive, following behind him at safe distance. Due to Hadrian's stubbornness and ego, he will not let Ramza go that easily and this battle will only end with bloodshed.

Battle 2
Difficulty: Very Hard

Enemies: Paladin (Knight/Vanilla Knight/Dark Knight sprite?) 9 x Disciples (Mix of Priests/Monks/Lancers) (Should meet sprite limitations: 4 enemy sprites and 16 total units.)
Conditions: Defeat All Enemies: Ramza + 5 Members vs Hadrian + 9 Members

Hadrian keeps all initial abilities
Disciples can all be assigned abilities per choice, only catch being they all share Hadrians ability to HP Restore, Maintenance and Ignore Height (Too assist with map terrain)
Battle 2 starts with your team in the dried river bed (if possible) and surrounded by the disciples as an ambush

Reward: TBD

Ill see what I can spring fourth from my mind. Sequence battles as in 2 part marks (finish one, unlocks the other, etc) with continued story or more how Riovanes Castle in vanilla was?

So with these last mark slots you guys have, are you looking for a multi tiered battle plot? or just a bunch of individual marks?

that just screams custom sprite usage, which Nyzer said that wasn't gonna be an option

Yea, DT's LP's were great to watch and actually opened my eyes to the project going on here, was a marvel to see firsthand. Beyond excited to finally get to play the re-release and chapter 2. I have been trying to forward him any interesting news i see here through his YouTube channel if he hasn't been noticing it his self already.

Still eagerly awaiting the re-release, but everything sounds great so far. Its pretty astounding that half of your game is already more content filled then vanilla FFT ever was lol.

Awesome to see the good news about your wife Elric, with that said, we all anticipate the re-release of Chapter 1 and the following of Chapter 2. Hopefully most of us don't mind the wait for a great product, family and health always come first.

Oppressor of Orphans

Backstory: A strange demon looking creature keeps torturing the local orphanages (which became even more commonplace after the Lion War) and has been known to abduct orphans for an unknown plot. Ramza and Co. must push this fiend back to give the orphans a peace of mind, as they have had many hardships already.

(This can open up a 2nd mark which you follow the creature back to its lair. There you find the one responsible for the creatures summoning and one behind the unknown plot.)

Difficulty: Medium/Hard

***Phunbaba teleports away after defeat

Location of Mark: Lesalia or Zeltennia
Location of Battle: A small type of town such as Goland, Bervenia, Zarghidas, etc.

Enemies: 1x Ultima Demon or Unique Demon sprite (green in color)

Name: Phunbaba or Humbaba ( whatever translation preferred )

HP/MP/BR/FA: all ???

Innate: Brawler, Short Charge, Counter

Immune to All status effects besides Poison
Absorbs Lightning elemental magic

Demon Arts (includes skills listed below)

-Blowfish (strengthened version of 1000 needles that was in 1.3)
-Baba Breath (Non elemental breath + auto knock back)
-Solar Plex (Hard, Physical damage)
-All variations of Bolt Magic (If possible, can cast on himself to heal)

Reward: Whatever seems fitting for the time of use in game


Cease the Chaos

Backstory: Ramza and Co. follow the creature back to whence it came. There they find the one responsible behind the creatures appearance, and master of the plot that is revealed. His plan to acquire the ability to wield world altering magics requires the sacrifice of pure souls that have experienced loss. Children being the easiest source of a pure soul and being a orphan at that, fulfills both requirements for his bidding. This megalomaniac must be stopped before more innocent orphans are caught in this evil plot.

Difficulty: Hard/Very Hard

Location of Mark: Same place as the 1st
Location of Battle: Perhaps a Deep Dungeon map or something similar to the Underground Passage in Goland

Enemies 1x Phunbaba 1x Chaos Mage -Hooded Stranger/Mage/Mediator type sprite (black robes)

**Phunbaba retains all same innates, absorbs and skillsets as previous mark

Name: Gideon

HP/MP/BR/FA: all ???

Innate: Short Charge, Starts with auto DBarrier
Immune to all status effects besides Dont Move and Dispel

Oppression (includes skills listed below)
Chaos Magic (includes skills listed below)
Split Damage
Double Magic
Master Teleport

**Oppression skill set includes a handful but not all of Lucavi type abilities (Fear/Dread skillset) such as Dont Act, Dont Move, Petrify, Stop and Sleep (Double Magic doesnt work with these)

**Chaos Magic skill set includes (Double Magic does work with these)
- Dark Barrier (MBarrier for Phunbaba and himself)
- Dark Aura (Gives Phunbaba Defending)
- Dispel Rain (Chance to dispel all buffs in range)
- Chaos Ball (Basically Demi)
- Chaos Wave (Basically Demi 2)

Rewards: Whatever seems fitting for the time of use in game

it resembles what I had in mind definitely, especially his look, very phantom-esque. Looks good.

I'll think of something a little more out of the box, but still FFT related. Was fun thinking up of side story scenarios.
