News:

Use of ePSXe before 2.0 is highly discouraged. Mednafen, RetroArch, and Duckstation are recommended for playing/testing, pSX is recommended for debugging.

Personally, if you want to run a game really fast(most run 200 FPS) run the "No Sound 0.4" plugin, and run some music in the background instead. I really hate the garbled stuff coming from FFT at 200 FPS.

I like the name Shatter Sphere though. Will be waiting for your release.

Not completely sure since I've never tried to emulate a game directly from the CD but I'll give some general info.

Reading the data from the CD will be slower than reading the data directly from the HD. Always. This MAY cause lag when the game needs to load data(screen transitions, attacks/effects, cut scenes).

As for the best emulator, most would recommend either PSX or ePSXe.
PSX is much more simple to use, and isn't a memory hog like ePSXe. Requires very little setup.
ePSXe has many plugin options, to enhance sound and graphics. It looks and sounds a lot better and closer to the original game. Requires a lot of setup.

I would love to see this being done. I would also help, but I know very little of hacking FFT and can't write a good story to save my life.

Yeah I'll probably be in, I'm just working out the flaws in my setup and playtesting it a bit. Also I'm working out a home battlefield. One more question though:

For the home battlefield, can I choose one of the tutorial fields? Or does it have to be one of the random battles? I'm trying a field with lots of corridors and obstacles.

I'm quite interested in this, but first a few questions:
1) With Draw Out, do I get an unlimited supply of katanas?
2) I'm assuming that katanas that aren't obtainable yet cannot be used but can you clarify the rules on draw out a bit more?
3) Can my team decide to have lower brave or faith values than the ones posted?
4) Can the AI be swapped mid-battle?
5) Can I change my R/S/M and secondary abilities on my team between battles? By that I mean, I can't change my JP allocation, but I can change abilities already learned. Example: I have a knight with Arrow Guard, but after battle 1, my opponent doesn't have any archers. For the second battle, I change my knights Arrow Guard to Weapon Guard(which was learned during team creation) to better suit the situation.
6) Can I change equips in between battles(similar to Q5)?
7) What's the deadline for sending in the teams?

As I said at the start, I'm very interested, so assume that I will have a team sent in by the deadline(if others are also interested of course).

Man that voice acting is amazing. I absolutely love Agrias! I would also agree with everyone saying that Gaffy's voice was too brutish and didn't suit his character very well. I see him as more of a cunning character that has no takes no chances rather than a barbarian.
