you could also try to make your unique characters immune to both treasure and crystal, though i don't know how that affects regular people. I've heard that for the undead it triggers a resurrection. I think i also heard that for a regular person it just starts the count over again, but i don't know for sure. And if that were the case i don't know if it would cycle the countdown before triggering the game over when ramza reaches 0.

tl;dr - Try immune to crystal and treasure. it might work.

Edit: i think immortal is only in the entd, its not a status.

i'm prolly going to wait until i have a computer that will run it.... but desire may override willpower and i may need to pick it up for a console in the meantime.

Edit: so much for the green light of willpower being the strongest force in the universe. At least i'm successfully forcing myself to clean my house before popping it in.

To use join as guest, check the "save formation" box in the entd. And then to have them in the next battle you make a spot for them in the entd and click "load formation". I hadn't heard about needing them to be one of the special guest sprites, but I've never tried it either.

granted i'm not a spriter, but the hood looks a little flat. the beige is a big improvement though. also, what appears to be the belt buckle seems to be off center in the forward frames. unless its actually a utility pouch, in which case, there should be more than one.

just so you know, you can't have beastmaster skills for specific monsters like ultima demons and worker/construct 8. so the only way to have boco know ultima with beastmaster is to make him a generic monster, which would mean that you could breed and army of ultima-wielding chocobos. This is fixed if you use the no breeding hack found... somewhere i'll try and look for it.

i would like to mention, just to avoid confusion, that "animation" refers to what the character does (and is selected in the animations tab), while "effect" is the term used for what the spell/ability looks like (i.e. cure vs fire vs bahamut etc).

I dont know why the effect or the range of the weapon should make a difference, though. Its odd that it works with regular effects and not FFFF.

Most likely its the animations tab that's your problem. Try copying the hex from something like break weapon, or given the mystical qualities of the shots, beowulf's sword attacks.
