I doubt anyone knows much about this, but I have been looking for the original version of FFT (which is in japanese) and have only succeeded in finding scam sites and the American/European versions.

So if anyone knows how I'd go about getting it, please let me know.  Still looking.

Edit: Oh, and one clarification.  I need to be able to get it onto my computer, so I don't think buying the disc version would work?
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

Why wouldn't it?

And it cost me $32 CAN including shipping. Got it on Ebay.

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)
<R999> My target market is not FFT mod players
<Raijinili> remember that? it was awful

Maybe it was just something wrong with my disc, but I had problems getting the game onto my computer.

Now that I think about it, that's probably the way everyone else got FFT onto their computer originally.

Making an image of FFT barely takes 3-5min...

I know that I got the JP version, but I my connection is just way too slow.
melonhead got it
methanol too, but he wasn't seen here in a long while.

and IIRC someone else.

I found one on eBay...

I bid $4 and now I am currently the highest.  Supposed to expire later tonight, but I'll probably up the ante at the last minute just to make sure.

Shipping will be a bit though, because it is coming from Japan.

Sweet.  I found an ImageDiff file that changed my US version to a JP version.  All is well =D

Btw Zodiac, do you happen to know the difference between version 1.0 and version 1.1 of the JP version?

?????

There are versions? I probably have 1.1 since I have an Ultimate Hits and they were produced in 2005.

and

First converts English to Japanese

Second converts Japanese to Japanese v1.1

I have not noticed any differences between the two yet.

Let me know if you have difficulty getting it to work.  I had to look up several things to find out how to get it all patched and working.

Check the debug mode Vincent and see if you can use two controllers. I hear that is what the Ultimate release of the game could do.
