How the format is this season:

Provided we cap out at 32, we'll have 8 groups of 4 players randomly drawn using pots (which basically means players will be seeded according to last season's rankings and made sure the top seeds will be placed in the same pot and so on, to avoid heavily stacked groups). Everyone will play against each other in their group once, Bo3.
Top 2 in each group move on to the next phase, which will be a standard Double Elimination bracket. Players who finish their groups in first place will be randomly drawn against those who have finished in second place. Everything will be Bo3, aside from Grand Finals, which will be played Bo5.

Also taking this opportunity to ask for help: When signups are closed and the draws are done, I'll make a spreadsheet to assign people to record/stream matches. If you can record even a single match, that's a great help. Top 4 in the DE bracket will probably be done by me and Barren like last year, aside from that everything is fair game.

Well, Doubt Faith just cost me my last chance of making it to the second bracket. I knew I would lose the large map due to too much distance to cover (it's one of the largest maps in Arena), but also partly because of the overall squishyness of my team. Dividing a Swiss system tournament kind of defeats the whole idea of easily sorting out the best teams without going through a full round-robin.

I understand the logistical concern but you're still going to have to wait for every bracket to finish a round before you can do another pairing and start another round. It doesn't help very much, if at all.
