So anyway, I had just woken up again (4:00pm) and got in my car to go to an appointment.  I was feeling kinda low until I put in my FFT Soundtrack CD and started listening to the music played in the opening FMV.  I don't think I've felt this euphoric all summer!

Ahhh. Good times.  Who here agrees that FFT Music is the best music and, if not, what is your favorite band/genre?
I changed jobs and that has made all the difference.

Certainly many of the themes in FFT are absolutely enchanting, they have such a strong pull on the spirit at times, it's easy to just put a song on and get lost in it's melody. For instance, the song "Algus" is a very relaxing sweet theme, that could repeat for hours and they could find  themselves still not growing tired of such. The opening theme as well is very powerful.
"Moment's anger can revert to joy,
sadness can be turned to delight.
A nation destroyed cannot be restored,
the dead brought back to life."

I prefer Legend of Mana's for songs like:
- Hometown Domina
- Cliff Town Gato
- Earth Painting
- Mystic Geo
- The Darkness Nova
- Missing Truth
- The Excitement of Both of Us
- The Other Truth
- Depression Blues
- City of Flickering Destruction
- The One Who Waits for the Breath of Destiny
- Those who are Shining

But FFT is still 2nd on my list. Because of:
- Staff Credits
- Unavoidable Battle
- Decisive Battle
- Remnants
- Tension 1
- Antipyreptic
- Kourin
- Ovelia's Worries
- Under the Stars
- Battle on the Bridge
- Shock!! ~ Failure
- Ultema, the Nice Body
- Apoplexy (original part 2)
- Fighting - version 2
- In a Limited Time

And after that it's Onmyouza; pretty unique genre.
I can't list the names because neither WINAMP nor my mp3 player will display japanese characters. :?

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)
<R999> My target market is not FFT mod players
<Raijinili> remember that? it was awful

FFT  music is great, yes, but the best would still be the Ace Attorney series for me, followed by Suikoden II, then FFT.

Favorties of each, in no particular order (the bold ones are the Favorite's Favorite):
 PW:
 1 - Dick Gumshoe's theme
 2 - Cornered
 3 - Logic and Trick
 4 - Objection! (2001)
 5 - Announce the Truth!
 6 - Prelude

Suikoden II (many music because game has many awesome musics):
 1 - A Beatiful Morning
 2 - Reminiscence
 3 - The First Job (Victor's Fortress 3rd Theme)
4 - Children Playing in the Fields
 5 - Amid the Silence
 6 - The Moonlit Night
 7 - Two Rivers
8 - Bright Curtains, the Cooking Duel!
 9 - Orizzonte
 10 - Dandy Richmond
 11 - Imprisioned Town
 12 - Heart Softening (BGM1) <- Very yes
 13 - On a Sunny Day

FFT (I only have a few selected, so considerably shorter list):
 1 - Backborn Story
 2 - Character Introductions
 3 - P.R. Movie
4 - Battle on the Bridge

I like any music that gives me inspiration, which can be anything, as long as it's good. Though, looking back, most of the music I like is mostly slow.

Chrono Cross has the best soundtrack of any game I've played up til now. Although I liked FFT's music, only a couple of songs really stood out for me.

The Shin Megami Tensei games have the best music. FFT is pretty good though

I'm gonna have to be the mainstream pundit.  I LOVE FFT, but FFVII music carries my heart with it wherever it may go.

As far a video games go, I have the most nostalgia associated with FFVI, and I think FFXII had the best in terms of quality. Salikawood haunts my dreams!

As for the music I like most, outside of video games.. Well, I'm pretty sure most people around here are very aware of my tastes by now. So I'll list my favorite composers: Bach, Mozart and Brahms.

I own FFXII, and have yet to play it.  I shall do so soon to ease my musical curiousity.

Yeah, a lot of people would probably disagree with me about FFXII's music.. But this thread asked for my opinion, and there it is.

Plus, a lot of people don't like FFXII nearly as much as I do.

FFT and FFXII are both really good, of course. I'd also recommend Napple Tale's soundtrack, by Yoko Kanno.

Yea, I'm one of those who doesn't like FFXII very much.  Maybe it was the license points?
