Damn, I swear I listened to something very similiar not a long ago, but I can't remember the band name or music name. If you want good metal, listen to Megadeth, it isn't heavy.

Listen to Hammerheart by Bathory (the whole album), it's pretty much the definition and progenitor of Viking Metal. Then look up some Ensiferum and have a party.

Tempest. It's fucking hard to find their shit uploaded online, so go to their website and buy a CD. They're amazing pirate/folk heavy metal. They're metal, but they play fucking fiddles and lutes.
