I was wondering how I could make maps like 'Thieves Den' and 'Fort Ziekden' regular battlefields that I could encounter monsters and such on. Is such a thing possible? and if so, do you mind teaching me how. I'm assuming I can't do it with just ENTD in the patcher, as I don't see an option to do so. Just editing the characters on the maps themselves doesn't make it a regular battlefield, it just makes it so when that event happens the changes happen only then.

FFT- PSX ver.

Thanks in advance.

not sure if it's been researched. I think we have bits and pieces of the information needed. It's actually a great idea that would open up alot of options. Fighting in the slums, secret shops in random places. Not sure how tough it would be though.

So no, nothing's been created to make this type of functionality to my knowledge.

I would be possible by ASM hacking, but it would be something very tedious.
Most stuff about random battles isn't well understood, so there's no telling how bad it would get.
From what I know, you'd have to code exceptions for each of those locations, since their IDs aren't right before or after the battlefield ones.

Excel spreadsheet with Random Battle data can be found here for relevance: http://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=10331.msg197093#msg197093

Love what you're seeing? https://supportus.ffhacktics.com/ 💜 it's really appreciated

Anything is possible as long as it is within the hardware's limits. (ie. disc space, RAM, Video RAM, processor, etc.)
<R999> My target market is not FFT mod players
<Raijinili> remember that? it was awful
