Not EVERYONE dies... There are still the few MAIN characters who survive. (as in, people who actually get first person chapters in the books. For example,
Rob Stark
had a larger response to his death from the TV show fans than from book readers because he was focused on in the show, but not the book. The characters with big parts such as Tyrion Lannister, Jon snow, etc. Are safer than others). The reason people consider Game of Thrones to be a kill-everyone-off show is that there are just lots of side characters who are given more of a spotlight in the show.

Also, I would consider AGOT related more to Tactics Ogre: LUCT.

Just wanted to clarify that I can't reply to stuff after 5:00 PM at the latest. The only way I am able is to use my mother's phone, which is very unlikely. I admit I was wrong, however.

Fine. I didn't play the original, I just rather liked WoTL. Maybe it's not as good. Maybe it sucks. Maybe I'm a polymorphing goat. I clearly don't know enough about this to be arguing on the topic. Sorry for bothering you all.

Dialogue comparison between PSX FFT and WotL

Dialogue in WotL
Silence! I shall not listen to you anymore, learn to govern your tounge or i shall have it sliced off! If you would test my patience you will know the true meaning of suffering. Now, prepare yourself to be sent towards the keeping of the Father!

Dialogue in the PSX version
Shut up, idiot!

Do you view that as positive, or negative?
If positive:  :)
If negative: It's more realistic man. I doubt anyone said that (the bottom part) in the Middle Ages or the Renaissance. I find it to be more enjoyable when I can immerse myself.

Why is it that all of you seem to hate WOTL so much?! If anyone could please elaborate, I would appreciate it.

It's The Eight "I'd Really Rather You Didn'ts" of The Flying Spaghetti Monster

1. I'd really rather you didn't act like a sanctimonious holier-than-thou *** when describing my noodly goodness. If some people don't believe in me, that's okay. Really, I'm not that vain. Besides, this isn't about them so don't change the subject.

2. I'd really rather you didn't use my existence as a means to oppress, subjugate, punish, eviscerate, and/or, you know, be mean to others. I don't require sacrifices, and purity is for drinking water, not people.

3. I'd really rather you didn't judge people for the way they look, or how they dress, or the way they talk, or, well, just play nice, okay? Oh, and get this into your thick heads: woman = person. man = person. Samey = Samey. One is not better than the other, unless we're talking about fashion and I'm sorry, but I gave that to women and some guys who know the difference between teal and fuchsia.

4. I'd really rather you didn't indulge in conduct that offends yourself, or your willing, consenting partner of legal age AND mental maturity. As for anyone who might object, I think the expression is "go f*** yourself," unless they find that offensive in which case they can turn off the TV for once and go for a walk for a change.

5. I'd really rather you didn't challenge the bigoted, misogynistic, hateful ideas of others on an empty stomach. Eat, then go after the b******.

6. I'd really rather you didn't build multi million-dollar synagogues / churches / temples / mosques / shrines to my noodly goodness when the money could be better spent (take your pick):
Ending poverty
Curing diseases
Living in peace, loving with passion, and lowering the cost of cable
I might be a complex-carbohydrate omniscient being, but I enjoy the simple things in life. I ought to know. I AM the creator.

7. I'd really rather you didn't go around telling people I talk to you. You're not that interesting. Get over yourself. And I told you to love your fellow man, can't you take a hint?

8. I'd really rather you didn't do unto others as you would have them do unto you if you are into, um, stuff that uses a lot of leather/lubricant/vaseline. If the other person is into it, however (pursuant to #4), then have at it, take pictures, and for the love of Mike, wear a CONDOM! Honestly, it's a piece of rubber. If I didn't want it to feel good when you did it I would have added spikes, or something.

4. Shut up noob, I was literally watching South Park before you were born

You wound me.
Thank you for typing literally, though. I thought for sure that you meant that figuratively.

Looks like a war is brewing...
Let's make a game, shall we? It shall be called Final Fantasy Hacktics: War of the........ books?

P.S. I realize there wasn't much argument around traveling to Ivalice in a book.... but I had to make that joke.

OOC: Sorry that I didn't write Jessie's reaction to the situation. I've lost inspiration for it due to current personal matters, but I don't want to slow anyone down. By the way, Rufio, you typed 'yelliing' instead of 'yelling'.

OOC: The way I see it is that if aliens were involved, perhaps they were the cause of the epidemic in the first place. We humans could be simple guinea pigs in their eyes.
