Title: Pokemon Fantasy Tactics - A treat for FFT fans!
Post by: skiploom188 on July 16, 2015, 02:57:32 am
This is Pokemon Fantasy Tactics! An animated show I made that uses FFT's setting but all characters are Pokemon! It's meant to look like a game but it's not. The show gives a scenario. And all the choices provided will have their outcomes shown in detail. Will you get it right?

It's always been my dream to be able to make an animation sequence like this especially when FFT's lore is mixed in. Having the chance to finally do that and show it to you guys really makes me a happy Skiploom. If this thread gets stickied somehow, then two dreams have come true for me here today.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Yours truly, it took 11 days to finish it all.

And it's not Flash, it's Powerpoint :D

Since you seem to intend to make it a series,

Sticky granted.

Wow! This is incredible Skip! I can't believe you made it in PowerPoint! Holy crap!
:more:
Now that I know how the choices will be displayed I'll be sure to bet before I actually watch the episode :P

I just watched it for the third time, and i completely agree with everything you said. (for once)
This is seriously great work Skiploom, I could never accomplish something like this in Powerpoint. You are like those people who can make movies on mario paint. It's fantastic. I want to see more

Wow! This is amazing skip! :shock:

I really liked the animation and the artstyle you're using, impressive to know this was made in PowerPoint!

I'm stoked to see more. Great work!

P.s.:

It's stickied! Thanks Elric! Dreams do come true!

The sequel may take a while. Because all the ideas & sequences in the video you saw were circulating in my head since 2014. I couldn't find a way to express them until now. But worry not, I'm having rough ideas on what to do next ;)

And one more twist: It's not just Powerpoint, but SPECIFICALLY Powerpoint 2003 :D

Dem Chimechos... Love that Caculator's Classic CT5 Brokeness came back and bit them in the ass(I'd called TM/O for their utility.)

If I get up to snuff on eventing, I'd love to contribute to eventing! (On the otherhand, I know nothing bout PP.)

Either way, totally awesome Skip!

Bahahaha that was great, skip! You managed to make float and dispel the most epic spells in the game, I howled at that. You're really going all out with the scenery and subtle details. You work dat PP.

Was wondering what you were up to this past while, oracle is my favourite class BTW <3

That's incredible that you did that in powerpoint.   :shock:  Have all of your videos been in powerpoint this whole time?  That's simply stunning!

@gatebuster202
You placed your bet on the mages? Now that's faith.  :v/:
I appreciate the thought that you want a part on this. You can leave all the PPT to me  :mrgreen:

@Rouroni Elmdor
Thanks! Haha I guess it's really a thing for shows to make underused or useless stuff stand out. Even I couldn't help but create a situation that will really define their use XD
For me,  drawing the outer shot of the mountain was a miracle. I can't believe I actually drew that one. During production I kept calling it "Miracle Mountain".
Yup, this was what I've been up to. Had to transfer the loss to something else. You like Oracles? I hope I did your fave job class proud :)

@reinoe
It's been Powerpoint all this time. It's the software that I've been with the most. That being said... I never forgot how to do regular presentations haha XD

"Pokemon Fantasy Tactics II"
IS IN PRE-PRODUCTION!
And it needs your help!

My FFT Sound Effects Folder isn't complete. It lacks the sound effects from other Job Abilities. I don't have the know-how to rip them in the game, nor the drive to do so (I'm busy on the PPT front >_<) .So if there are volunteers out there who are willing, it would be of great help.

Here's the sounds I lack. There could be more, I just don't remember all yet. Asterisks are main priorities.
-Item
-Punch Art *
-Draw Out *
-Summon Magic
-Elemental

.wav or .mp3 are my supported file formats.

I recall seeing a tutorial on how to rip SFX in the game. I think it's this one:
http://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=5703.0

Your help would be invaluable to me. And WILL speed up the release...

Really tough finding the files, i got some from here if you don't have them already Here (http://ffhacktics.com/instructions.php?id=21) might be more hiding somewhere around here, I'll keep looking.

Remember I got a ff7 suite for the PC with some interesting graphic and mem card modding options, came with all the midi files some of which I use as ringtones on my phone. No such luck here.

You can download my youtube video and cut them out if it's worth the effort

There is also this:
http://ffhacktics.com/smf/index.php?topic=5703.0

Also if you look in the event command section on the wiki and look at the Sound command. You can hear all the sounds there as well.

@Rouroni Elmdor
The link you provided is already my primary source of FFT sounds even before. But I haven't downloaded them all yet. I just pick up what I need at the moment. But if all of those sounds get bundled to one .rar then that would be so convenient. Thanks for helping out Rouroni :)

@Elric
I'll check out the wiki and thanks for your video. Every little bit helps.

Good news, yesterday TrueLight PM'd me and provided me with the Draw Out, Summon Magic, and just recently the Punch Art sounds. He'll also probably be working with Item and Elemental abilities. This is really a great development :mrgreen:

Thank you all for your support!

I'm a little late, but I just wanted to say that I love your sense of humour, skiploom, both here and in the many other videos you've been posting over the years.  The CT5 Holy part was particularly funny.

I look forward to your next production!

Heeheehee it's something I've picked up over the years (from watching too much TV shows and films. Can you believe it? Watching too much shows actually helped). I've heard from somewhere that in creating scenes, making viewers cry is hard, but making them laugh is harder. So with that in mind, I have trained myself to entertain people through the animations I make. And I'm so happy to see that it's working...

Progress has been slow, I must admit. Can't bring the overdrive I once had while making the first one. How did I accomplish that in under 2 weeks??? Anyway I will do my best to make up for the lost time. Especially now that people are waiting ;)

Don't get discouraged, skip! I always check in here to see if anything is going on,  I can help write scripts and proof read some stuff for you if you'd like. Being as inspired/excited as you were during the first tournament is tough, so don't force it. I can always read over stuff or pitch ideas if you feel you've hit a block or just want feedback on something.

It's been pretty dormant here for a while, but I'm very far from giving up. There's like tons of action sequences I still want to do  :D

I've evaluated everything, the only block in the production is me. Most of the stuff needed are set, all it needs is my action.

Hehe it's good to know that someone's checking here every now and then. Thanks for your support Rouroni!

Pengin is gonna be in this one right?

If not Pengin, then hopefully Shoe makes an appearance.

Ummm, Pengin. Let's see...

Not sure how he'll fit in the story.

HOWEVER! He could be lying around somewhere in the next installment so keep an eye on it :p

It's September 12! Today, I'll be the one giving some gifts :mrgreen:

Here are a few screenshots of PokeFantasy Tactics II!

(http://i62.tinypic.com/qo7wq0.png)

If you must know, I am very very secretive on projects I do. The only time I will show it is when it's FINISHED. But since today is that day, I will forget my secretive nature for one day. There are only two things that can make me give away stuff: A Miracle or a September 12.

What is September 12 anyway? Oh, that's my birthday ;)

PFTII is still continuing production! It's just slower than usual.
