Thank you both very much for your support, and I'm very glad you enjoyed it so much, especially the story, which is one of the most important/difficult parts. Not to make, but to make in such a way that makes it feel real, which is where a lot of indie and or modded games miss.

As for the donation thing, I've thought about this, but being as we have members in USA, Canada, Australia, Poland, Brazil, Philippines, and a few other places, I would have no idea or right to figure out how to split up something like donations :P

Aged intellectual property that they themselves do not make money off of anymore and likely couldn't if they tried (unless they make an HD remake, which seems to be a fad among developers these days, but still).

Please Help, already patch it corectly (in clean vanila iso) but always freeze after dante scene inthe begining
what did i do wrong i tried many posible configuration but still freeze, i am using psxeven (ps7 v0.19)

It's likely the emulator. ePSXe, pSX (psxfin), pcsx-r, and psxjin will all play through perfectly fine, while some older emulators will freeze around that point.

Seeing as how Chapter 1 is only 10 hours long, I'm considering doing an LP of it. After watching a few of CT5's videos I've been super intrigued by the character dynamics in battle combined with the difficulty of the fights I've seen. (I had to stop watching once I realized how much effort was put into it. I want to experience it first hand.)

At the very least it should expose the mod to the folks over at ID who have never heard of it.

I prefer ePSXe (includes bios, plugins and all that. If you prefer to download from the original source due to trust issues (wouldn't blame you), you can get a copy from the original place (but without the plugins and bios) here), but seriously, none of the others mentioned are bad.

Admin edit: linking directly to BIOS is bad.

If you don't have 7zip (to decompress the ePSXe 1.8 file), get it from here.

My main reason for writing here and now is not to help this dude pick an emulator, though. It's merely to say that I'm currently playing Jot5 for the first time, and I'm enjoying the experience.

Hmm, seems Raven must have forgotten to put the {} around that br. Easy fix.

And honestly, most of us on the team try to stay as far away from ePSXe as possible. For playing it's not "too" bad despite
not running nearly the same way as the original hardware, which is why we tend to use PSXFin. Though of course, preference is
up to the person who is playing. I would personally never recommend ePSXe though. PSXFin is much more light weight in terms
of just about everything.

I am glad you are enjoying it so far though, those scenes took for fucking ever to make.. And don't even get Raven
started on battle system and organization :P

v1.96b had almost 500 downs, geez.  v1.97 is up, and it includes a lot of gameplay revamps I had intended for the Chapter 2 release because why not.  There's still plenty more to come when that hits so enjoy your new toys now for Chapter 1.
