Haha. Thanks Luiakyn.

It's actually a portrait from Tactics Ogre, then
edited it a bit, just to prepare for the Halloween
and the contest. :P

Great stuff MiKe. Can't wait to see more of your completed sprites...especially that female Gambler. :>

Looking great with your WIP Lazuli. . . hmmn you left out two pieces from the arms cuz I am certain this is type 1. . . probably 1 is hidden during the punch sequence and the other arm is the one attached when using an item which some sprites like ramza have it in the last frame of the action sequence. . .

It's because there were arms already from the last frame of action seq, so those 'cut' arms won't be needed anymore.
Thanks!

Therefore, with this method of spriting, we can eliminate making 2 arms! yeah! Thanks to Malak. :)

Here's my newest artwork:
(Originally a request from a person)

I've been stagnant at spriting these days, because they take my time for other important stuffs.
Hopefully, in the next holidays, I can show off some new sprites. Chill.

edit:
btw, I have finished the female reliquian sprite, too,
but the hair would be constant at blonde..

Gorgeous image, man.

I don't see a problem with all female Reliquians being blond--aside from some very negligible tweaks, most generics have the same hair color. Though if you really want a fix, you may just have to change hair and skin together to pull it off.

Problem is with the portrait..
take a look mav..

Some colors for the hair is also used for the skin..
so, it'll greatly affect the sprite, too..

This... is seriously one of the best portrait I have ever seen. They may be one or two bad pixels -the middle hair does not proprely- but the concept is phenomenal, kudos!
I keep leaving, I keep coming back. Boomerang boy.

Erm, no it won't, portraits have an independent palette from the sprite so it doesn't matter what colors are where.

Unless I'm completely misunderstanding what you're saying, there is no problem with the hair on the portrait being used to color the skin too. I do it on virtually every portrait I make: all that means is that you have to change the skin and the hair the exact some way. Brown hair, brown skin. Blond hair, yellowish skin, etc--and do the same with the sprite. The problem with the portrait is that the color used as the background for the portrait is also used as the lightest shade on the clothes--you won't get any palettes outta that.
